OT 13: Unholy Guacamole
Fake news. Can't be real or it's an illusion
It would be dark up here till 8:30am in the winter if we didn't set them back, no?

DST makes the morning "darker" at the expense of extra evening daylight.
IE we just got on DST and sprung forward, so sunday sun rise was later as was sunset giving more evening daylight time
When we "fall back" to normal time it gets dark sooner but sunup is more or less the same as days get shorter.
I wish we could just stay on DST. Yes you yanks would have very long dark mornings in the winter....but actually daylight in the evening at least.

In Michigan, we're kind of screwed because we're the westernmost in the eastern timezone. You've got it the worst in GR.
I think we'd be fine on DST permanently.

The house I grew up in in Kentucky and the house I live in now are within a mile of each other longitudinally. I'm around 400 miles due north.Big Brain Bradley wrote: ↑Mon Mar 12, 2018 2:44 pmDST makes the morning "darker" at the expense of extra evening daylight.

In the summer, it gets darker here about 20 minutes later. Is never really thought about it but I guess when you think about it, it makes sense.
Mid Winter, its still dark here at 7:30am or later. If 7:30am in the winter is now 8:30 am work DST, it be ass

Yes, I understand how DST works. I think leaving it at Standard Time year round makes the most sense because kids would still be going to school in daylight, and who needs sunlight after 9:00 pm?Big Brain Bradley wrote: ↑Mon Mar 12, 2018 2:44 pmDST makes the morning "darker" at the expense of extra evening daylight.
