:wat: I love it. I wish the entire country would follow Florida's footsteps.
What does Florida do? Are they like AZ where there is no time-change because they're always on Daylight Savings Time? I would love that. I see no reason to set the clocks back in the fall and lose that hour of daylight.

That would suck.. never considered that since I live so far south. We'd still have sunrise at a decent time in the winter without setting the clock back.

DST makes the morning "darker" at the expense of extra evening daylight.

IE we just got on DST and sprung forward, so sunday sun rise was later as was sunset giving more evening daylight time
When we "fall back" to normal time it gets dark sooner but sunup is more or less the same as days get shorter.

I wish we could just stay on DST. Yes you yanks would have very long dark mornings in the winter....but actually daylight in the evening at least.

In Michigan, we're kind of screwed because we're the westernmost in the eastern timezone. You've got it the worst in GR.

I think we'd be fine on DST permanently.

I want my daylight when I can use it...in the evening.

The house I grew up in in Kentucky and the house I live in now are within a mile of each other longitudinally. I'm around 400 miles due north.

In the summer, it gets darker here about 20 minutes later. Is never really thought about it but I guess when you think about it, it makes sense.

Mid Winter, its still dark here at 7:30am or later. If 7:30am in the winter is now 8:30 am work DST, it be ass

Yes, I understand how DST works. I think leaving it at Standard Time year round makes the most sense because kids would still be going to school in daylight, and who needs sunlight after 9:00 pm?
