Forged internals and titanium valves should be standard from the factory

You could actually build a "Mazdaspeed2" from a iA pretty easily. A premium fuel tune with raised rev limit, 15x7 RPF1s with 23" tarz, and some coilovers would make for a pretty little car.

I mean I get that. Flat brim vapors tuning and blowing shit up isn't anything new. I thought you were trying to relate aftermarket tuning to gauge OEM reliability.

I just drove the iA. These cars are fun, even with the stock shitty tires and 5.5" wide wheels. Quick steering, super responsive brakes despite being drums in the rear. Ride quality is certainly not luxury but no worse than the or the 3. The slushbox works incredibly well and will ride the limiter in mode instead of upshifting automatically. Downshifts are smoother and quicker than I can do with my feet. Solid 4/7 car. This one with 26k miles feels the same as the 52k mile one.
With some slightly better wheels+tires (put winters on the stockers) and a $100 swaybar it would be 5/7.
