For a good portion of my youth, I wanted to be a pilot, specifically flying these things.

That sound is intoxicating. Best course air support we've ever fielded.

gym was 5/7.
16 minutes of cardio. 1.80 miles on the elliptical averaging 166 bpm (which is ideal for my cardio goals). Then I just did some machines covering upper body/chest.

We need more. And they need to train out of Willow Grove again.[user not found] wrote:Still wants to. Nothing better in the wars we fight now than this thing. Good against China? No. Great against terrorists? Nothing better.

I see them from time to time at Camp Atterbury for training exercises. Getting to hear the BRRRRT in person is something else.[user not found] wrote: ↑Wed Jan 24, 2018 8:15 amAgreed. And do runs over my parents house.Calvinball wrote: ↑Wed Jan 24, 2018 8:03 am

I saw one randomly when I was at Cameblak skiing years ago. I heard something, looked up, and there it was like a grey ghost weaving very slowly through the mountains. They sound so awesome and really aren't loud.[user not found] wrote: ↑Wed Jan 24, 2018 8:15 amAgreed. And do runs over my parents house.Calvinball wrote: ↑Wed Jan 24, 2018 8:03 am

Yep. Honestly, China right now isn't much of a threat. Even if they do have some advanced Russian fighters and their own derivatives of them, they don't have many of them. We've got over 900 F-16's and even more F-18's for fuck's sake. Honestly it's ludicrous how much money we spend on the military.[user not found] wrote: ↑Wed Jan 24, 2018 7:54 amStill wants to. They would absolutely be flying right over my house if they still did.[user not found] wrote:Agreed. And do runs over my parents house.Calvinball wrote: ↑Wed Jan 24, 2018 8:03 am We need more. And they need to train out of Willow Grove again.

They used to train out of Willow Grove. You’d hear them and there would be two in very close formation, verrrry low of the ground. Last night the wife was looking at our flight to Nashville and noticed that we are still the only people in first class on the plane... then she noticed that the tickets dropped by $500 per person in the last 2 weeks since we booked. Luckily the tickets were refundable, so she cancelled the flight, booked the new seats and 5 minutes later re-selected our original seats.
$1000 saved that can go towards the JL Rubicon or the Hawaii flight in June.

Never known anyone who actually books first class seats with money. Nashville is 5/7, IMO.
