Off resort a Canadian/Jamaican couple were killed in their vacation home recently. It almost instigated a Canadian travel restriction just like Mexico received (from 2004 - 2007?), but I think the Jamaican government issued a National emergency which justified them to bring in extra military support and clear out some gang activity. Most talking wallets wont see any of this assuming they stay on the resort. I have a 2 and 6yr old so for us it will be breakfast bar->pool->lunch->beach/splash pad/bedroom for naps->pool/splash pad->dinner spot->evening show->bed. Rise and repeat.
