Anyone else love how the 401k yearly investment cap is now up for negotiation? It won't be the $2,500 previously discussed, but they want to reduce it WAY down from the new $18,500. How shitty is that. I thought the whole point was to make people responsible for saving for their own retirement, but now they want to take that advantage away too? Da faq??

This may not happen, but the White House is reportedly backing this now too. Never say never.

I'll admit I'm not following very closely, but $2,500 seems obscenely low. That's barely $100 a pay (for bi-weekly).

Oddly enough, the best deep dish I ever had was in St. Louis. :iono:

How much does the average/median person actually put into it?

Tax reform baby. WE ARE LOWERING YOUR TAXES. Um, wait a second. What about my 401k reducing my taxable income and some of the other basic ones? NAAAA, FACK OFF BRO. We are only lowering your tax rate, but you will actually pay more because you are a dumb shit.

It's a feat of delicious fatty goodness. I've only had 1 and it was earlier this year.

That's the thing. People don't put in much, so they want to get rid of the large deduction in taxable income. It's sort of a catch-22. They want you to be off of government assistance and have no safety net, but yet they take away something that allows people to actually be responsible with their money and saving for retirement.

Ask him about when we first started dating and I didn’t want to correct him on directions and we walked five miles in the opposite direction of the car. I was in heels. And a skirt. It was like, -2 degrees outside.

Switched gyms last night. New gym is even more spartan than my last one was. I like the old school equipment though. Plus walking distance from my place. Paid $300 up front for a full year. :notbad:

"A 2015 Government Accountability Office study found that show that 29% of Americans 55 and older don’t have any retirement nest egg or even a traditional pension plan. Those who do have retirement funds don't have enough money: 55 to 64-year-olds have an average of $104,000 and those 65 to 74 have $148,000 in savings. If that money were turned into a lifetime annuity, it would only amount to $310 and $649 respectively per month."

This is probably why Congress wants to fuck with 401ks.

Was it Pi Pizzeria?

St. Louis also has their own style - thin crispy, cracker-like crust. They have this stuff they call provel cheese on the top. I don’t care for the cheese, but otherwise it’s my favorite style pizza.

Biceps, forearms, then legs tonight. Curious how packed this gym gets at the time I'll be there. It was dead when I showed up yesterday morning for cardio, and not much busier when I went to fill out my membership stuff last night around 630-7.. Should be getting in to lift tonight around 5:30 doe so no clue how it is at that time.
