Yes so I can get deals on the 2017s that are left over. Which don't exist because nobody stocks bikes in Philly. Ugh.

There is a Pivot dealer out here. May test ride a MTB tomorrow if I have time.

Ordered a 1up-USA hitch rack today.

Image

Has some great reviews and installs/removes in 15 seconds, and is foldable for storage.

I'm so confused on what to do about a rack. Obviously the cheapest is the VW bars but I'm not sure if the T-slot conversion will fit the VW bars. I assume its universal but I don't know for sure.

OEM VW bars + Yakima Highroad + T-Slot conversion = $524

Fleds Thule SquareBars and towers + fit kit + Thule Sidearm = $559

New Yakima Corebar + Frontloader = $603

New Thule SquareBar + Sidearm = $679

I probably should buy it. How long have you had them again? Just cosmetic scuffs on them I guess? And with roof racks it's only these foot kits that are vehicle specific? Obviously the bars are universal but the towers are as well?

I'm off this friday and with the forecast this nice I'd like to ride. Don't know where doe as I don't know the trails. Anyone gonna be around on friday?

Towers and bars are universal. Only the fit kits are vehicle specific. Can't really go wrong with all of fled's gear for the price, just have to pick up your preferred bike attachment.

I'd say the rack is 5 years old. They've been in storage for maybe 4 of those years, and on two cars maybe a total of 12 months.

Message me your phone number and I'll text you some pics.
