BUUUUUUUUUYYYYYY MMMMMMEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!
Same paint scheme as my Whorebea, the version.
I haven't ridden in a couple of weeks ... I'm sure I'll get out this week/weekend but it's damn cold right now.
Looks like the Beast Coast should warm up a bit this weekend .[user not found] wrote: ↑Mon Nov 20, 2017 3:13 pmI'm hoping for a couple warm days after Thanksgiving. Maybe I'll get a chance to do some shit instead of shit.

I threw out my back again on Saturday. I doubt I'll be able to ride for a few weeks.

I dunno if I have 50 miles on me right now. Haven’t ridden in a long while. We’ll see.[user not found] wrote: ↑Mon Nov 20, 2017 4:40 pmI'd really enjoy a nice casual 50 mile road ride right now.

1) I cleared some mondo logs today. Very
2) Ride in Belmont on 420 / cabbage patch / kitchen sink was mostly clean, only had to hike a bike in like 3 spots. Also very
3) I was le tired, I need to ride more
4) 45 degrees is totally doable with my gear.
5) Fuck my rear wheel. That god damn freewheel was throwing the chain all over the place, and with the wobbly hub it was ghost shifting way too often. I need a new wheel and 1x11 SLX groupset. Or a new bike. Probably a new bike. I priced out wheels on velomine I can get a Sram X9 hub and Velocity Blunt ram set for like $200, and SLX is like $230 + bottom bracket so call it $300. That's $500 to make my $500 bike rideable
A Kona Honzo hardtail with a 120mm Revelation and through axles would absolutely SLAY Belmont. Belmont is all about quick super tight turning and popping the bike up over bullshit. You full squishy guys, how are your bikes for that sort of riding?

With the 27.5 wheels it's super chuckable and nimble, and rolls over everything easily... It does not feel anything like I'd expect a near 6" travel bike to feel.

Yeah it's interesting because most things I can find online suggest that the shorter travel bikes give you a better platform for hopping and chucking it over things. Whereas the longer travel bikes sit more into their travel, and you have to overcome that to get it over the obstacle. My test ride years ago with the 5010 didn't lead me to believe that one bit, but then again that bike is known to be super playful. This is tempting as hell... I really wish I could try these out. They sound perfect based on reviews, super playful bikes that love being airborne, aren't harsh on impacts like the Pivot was, pedal well, and have things like internal cable tubes for rattle free riding and a threaded bottom bracket.

I've set it up with the correct amount of sag and a hair on the low side with pressures in the fork and shock, but i run the rebound slightly quicker so I can keep it feeling a little more alive.

There's one dealer around here, Community Bikes and Boards. They're closing their philly store though. So it's Haddonfield only. The next closest dealer is in Lancaster. When I called about these, the dude at Community said he could order me one but didn't have any in stock, no demos, no nothing in the area. So fork out basically $4k and "I promise you'll love it." That's the same line were giving regarding WRX's years ago.Apex wrote: ↑Mon Nov 27, 2017 9:57 amSounds like you need to fly out to Colorado and test ride some bikes.Johnny_P wrote: ↑Mon Nov 27, 2017 9:50 am

I have no idea why the bike industry is like this. Especially at the price points of new bikes anymore.
