Thats a good price!troyguitar wrote: ↑Sun Jun 18, 2017 9:37 am The latest cheapo Kumho ballz seasons are pretty damn good. Not quite AS3 in the warm but ridiculously cheap and possibly better in the cold. Ecsta 4XII. Was $458 for the set and they're $271 for a 215 front rear Poorsche setup, assuming I ever buy a car.

I had some bfg's many many years ago that were great for like 10k miles.Johnny_P wrote:I liked my BFG Gforce Comp 2s. They were cheap and very grippy in the dry. Seemed to work fine in the wet too. Best tires I put on the GTI at least.

Why aren't those on a GM? Square wheels belong under square fenders.

When I heard "Jimmy Eat World" I lost it he's probably more old school. But few things are pretty spot on, like the exhaust

I literally imagined those wheel setups on cars when I was a little kid

Have you driven both? I drove a Cayman S once... my reference point is probably ruined by that. The new Miatas look like they're quick enough because of how light they are, but that incredibly sonorous and fun midship flat 6 would be hard to turn down.

If you're actually going to trackdaybro then the M96 porsche stuff is not a good idea, sustained high lateral g loads == bad news for the oiling system much like regular LS2/LS3 cars. Avoid 986 and 996 except turbro/gt2/gt3 for trackdaybro unless you want to do supporting mods.

I've driven Mehatas, only barely because I don't fit in them. They're ok, under powered (which I know is "the point" or whatever), shitty interior, basic amenities that usually function, etc.
I actually fit comfortably in Boxster and find them a bit more special to drive. I really prefer the mid-engine layout as well. If I were buying a $10k fun car, a Boxster would be at the top of the list.

I jumped off the Michelin cool aid. Especially for some reason, my as3's only lasted like 25k miles Now I'm rocking General G-Max As3, cost just as half as the As3, more gripper but not significantly. Only problem is it might have softer sidewalls than michelins as I noticed when I corner a 25 mph at 50-60 mph, which michelins had no problem with.

Nobody here is going to TRACKDAYBRO as much as they think they are, let's be real.troyguitar wrote: ↑Mon Jun 19, 2017 12:16 pmIf you're actually going to trackdaybro then the M96 porsche stuff is not a good idea, sustained high lateral g loads == bad news for the oiling system much like regular LS2/LS3 cars. I wouldn't risk tracking these cars for even a single lap, but that's just me. Maybe on crappy tires and on a small/flat track with no banked sweepers, like Waterford...Detroit wrote: ↑Mon Jun 19, 2017 12:21 pmNobody here is going to TRACKDAYBRO as much as they think they are, let's be real.troyguitar wrote: ↑Mon Jun 19, 2017 12:16 pm

Those will last longer at least. The sidewalls are definitely soft though. A friend of mine had those on his Mazda 3S. Was a lot more comfortable than the Falken Azenis he had on there prior, but didn't handle nearly as well.MexicanYarisTK wrote: ↑Mon Jun 19, 2017 12:20 pmI jumped off the Michelin cool aid.
