Did google it.[user not found] wrote: ↑Thu Jun 22, 2017 3:45 pmI didn't realize I had to define something that is taught an entry-level economics course and is easily googledtroyguitar wrote:
Not with me. He's still yet to define free market so that he can be proven wrong.
Minimal? Our government is heavily involved in the economy... In what aspect is there NOT government intrusion?[user not found] wrote: ↑Thu Jun 22, 2017 3:58 pmSigh. This isn't correct. Minimal government intervention does not make a market not free.troyguitar wrote:

We have tariffs, therefore the market is not free.
Please define heavily involved so I can prove you wrong.troyguitar wrote: ↑Thu Jun 22, 2017 4:06 pmMinimal? Our government is heavily involved in the economy... In what aspect is there NOT government intrusion?[user not found] wrote: ↑Thu Jun 22, 2017 3:58 pm
Sigh. This isn't correct. Minimal government intervention does not make a market not free.

I used to be able to name every nut that there was. And it used to drive my mother crazy, because she used to say, "Harlan Pepper, if you don't stop naming nuts," and the joke was that we lived in Pine Nut, and I think that's what put it in my mind at that point. So she would hear me in the other room, and she'd just start yelling. I'd say, "Peanut. Hazelnut. Cashew nut. Macadamia nut." That was the one that would send her into going crazy. She'd say, "Would you stop naming nuts!"

Whoa. I'd be so freaked out.

Yep, and I'm wrong about a lot of shit... but you actually took the time to explain yourself. simply says I'm wrong and then out of discussion. He's right because he says he's right and refuses to form an actual argument because then there might be a chance that he could be proven to be wrong.
1) work shit to do (yesterday's reason)
2) life stuff I prefer doing
3) you being fully immutable - you'll notice in yesterday's conversation Wap and I (who are very politically different on these issues) came to an agreed conclusion. I can be reasoned with and my position is typically not where others assume it is.
Are you speaking more of central planned economies, like in the old Soviet Union? Because that, to me, is a prime example of a non-free market.[user not found] wrote: ↑Thu Jun 22, 2017 3:58 pmSigh. This isn't correct. Minimal government intervention does not make a market not free.troyguitar wrote:
