I spent all weekend detailing the car. Did a full wash with Adam's strip wash, clay, iron remover, then a finishing polish on a few problematic spots, before prepping the paint with Gyeon Prep and layering on 3 coats of Gyeon Mohs. Topped that with Gyeon Booster and then finished with Gyeon Cure. Did all of those steps on the trim, wheels, headlights, and tails as well.
This is after the Booster, before the Cure. Some photos with the wife's DSLR to come.

Coming up. 20% ceramic tint, the OEM front lip, and removing the OEM noise pipe are really all I have planned.

I am really torn on it. Part of me likes it since it distinguishes it from the regular WRX. But I would also be embarrassed to sit in traffic with that thing. It has literally 0 function for 99.999% of driving.

I've come around to this camp. Wanted the base because I didn't really feel like the extra options on the Limited were worth the price difference, but I'm 100% happier with the lip spoiler.

I was sort of up in the air on the wing. Would have gone with the base model,
but wife was adamant the STi could have no wing or I was keeping the GTI. So...yeah, easy choice. Who really wants a big wang in the rear, anyway?
What the shit?

I love the wing. Its ridiculous. Its over the top and totally unnecessary. The kind of shit a 10 year old would draw on a race car.
It kind of plays into the whole "I'm here for the LOLZ" of STI ownership in general.

On a related note, my salesbro was very much in agreement with my wife on the lip spoiler. He said he'd love to get an STi but wants a base model, then wrapped up the comment with "What am I, Mexican?"
I couldn't hold back the chuckle, but holy shit, people actually blurt out that kind of thing to total strangers.

I can see older females not really wanting to roll around with a picnick table on their trunk.

Chiming in on pro-wing. I like how the STI looks with that wing. It's a classic character traits of that car.
