240 WHP and 290 ft-lb with a flash. :notbad: from a :jalepenis: motor. Not that I'd necessarily do that anyway.

I think the coupes are cool. Especially in green. If I were shopping hot FWD cars I'd certainly at least give this a look.

In all reality doe, I'm sure the stock tune on the 1.5T is fine.
Still curious why they didn't put the 8-speed DCT on this.

My guess is that with the DCT it would be as quick in a straight line as the Hype R... and the DCT can't handle the torque of that one, so they couldn't just put it in both to make them both quicker.

If you put the equation where Honda riceboys find out about the ease of making a turbo car faster by tuning, then yes that's about right. I still haven't seen the new Si on the road yet. I only saw a Type R sitting at a dealer front display.

:notsure: about that whole thing. Usually you can get a decent amount of power out of a factory tuned car by taking out all the safety margin err doing the engineering work that the idiots at the manufacturers couldn't.

However... doubling the power is just not possible because of physical engine limitations.

He claims 320 wheel torque out of a 1.5 with a baby dick turbo?
It would have more power than my car with twice the displacement.

:whocares:

http://blog.vittuned.com/introducing-the-2017-civic-si/

Vit Tuning got a Civic Si to play around with.
142 miles and the clutch is slipping. Second report I've seen of that. Anyway. Put down 200 WHP and 210 WTQ stock. Tuning it got it to 220 WHP, 225 WTQ easy.

Image

I'm part impressed that the 1.5T can throw down 200 WHP from the factory. That's some VW style underrating. I'm also part :disgust: that the clutch is slipping and the motor is dead until 3k. Like absolutely dead.

I saw a new one on the road last week. It was decent looking, I couldn’t really tell until I noticed the center mounted exhaust.

I guess I already posted about it.

Saw a post on vortex about a dude test driving a 10th gen Civic Si that had a slipping clutch and a search turned up that Vit Tuning blog.

Oh well. Point is, they apparently tried to make it too much like a GTI. Weak stock clutch and all.

The clutch is slipping under stock power or tuned?

If tuned, it's Turbro Yaris :triggered: all over again. There's no reason for any OEM to put a clutch rated to be stronger than stock power. If they did, people would :baby: about heavy clutches.

You can only add so much boost and the turbo becomes a hairdryer. This leads to cracked manifolds. Has anyone cracked a block yet? I highly doubt that block can handle more than 300hp anyway

lmao exactly breh. The exhaust manifold gets too hot.

if you're going to push the limits get a bigger turbo and exhaust manifold.

Stock, on the :dillerman: test drive it was slipping. Apparently same thing was happening to Vit.

No way brah $600 tune makes that A4 as fast as an S4, save the $10k OEM engineers are retards. Also, it's reliable af. My mom's sister's illegal alien adopted son has had a tune on his Audi for 750 miles and literally nothing has gone wrong, car is stupid reliable.

Yeah with some bolt ons your car is as quick as the 1.5T :jalepenis: new one and likely more reliable long term.
