Guys, its really all just fine. He will come back if he feels being a DFD participant, on balance, is a life enhancement. Or if he is bored shitless. Otherwise, perhaps not. That's the way the world spins round.

FWIW, he hasn't posted much at all in quite a while, let alone any specific :poop: posts.
Your more frequent participation in OT would 5/7 enhance it, bigly.

Know the feeling. Take some time, remove yourself from the forum life for a bit and only come back if you want when you feel refreshed. Then, just stick to what you want to comment about and fuck the rest of it.

I know the feeling though. After getting personally attacked for my choice in girlfriends, I wanted nothing to do with this place. Z convinced me to come back doe. And I'm here mostly because I manage smart people that don't really need me 98% of the time, so I have nothing better to really do. If I had a job that was more demanding I'd participate way less.

Anyways. No sense in hanging out here if you're just getting repeatedly pissed off and constantly have to defend the same position over and over again.

We'll see you around dude. I'd still be interested in a Pittrace meet up if you want to do that next year. I'd love to track the STI before I off it for a soul sucking automatic derpcar.

Reviving from the dead...

Friday is looking like decent weather. Took the day off to get Camdalf on the street, but have some work:

Stainless brake lines
Brake fluid flush
Clutch fluid flush
New Gear Oil
Painting calipers red
New headunit (finally)
Rebuilt shifter box
CQuartz wheels
New tires and TPMS

Brub season is upon us. :fuckyeah:

And from the depths of hell, it arises to reclaim its dominance over the streets of middle earth once again! Camdalf is risen.

Yea, it seems like a worthwhile thing. I haven't done a deep clean on my wheels yet, and since they're off the car anyway, might as well take the time to do it.

Curious about the shifter box, mine might need some work too, the shift pattern is screwy, 1-4 are tight, but you have to almost put it in reverse to get it into 5th

Dat, i want to take mine apart/reinstall it. I feel like it could be loose causing the vibrations i feel in the dash.

I sent mine to this guy. I was surprised at how sloppy the box was...clearly the seals/bearings whatever were rather worn. My car shifted fine, but was rubbery sometimes, and I think this was a big part of it. I should get it back today or tomorrow.

Alignment is critical too. It's a lot of trial and error to get it just right.

I'm rebuilding the stockers and painting while they're apart because I'm :gay:
Not sure if that makes them waxable or not, :doe:

Mine started after I did the diff job. I might just learn to live with it, but good to know there are options if I do get tired of it.

I bet the alignment is off then. When I put mine back together, it was a mess with shifting. I spent a solid afternoon tweaking where the shift rod to the trans meets the box. There's nearly infinite adjustment there. Once you get it, it shifts really well. I'm hoping the box takes care of some of the "rubberyness" I experience from time to time.
