In this glorious thread, I will track the stupid shit my dad buys. This will not include the copart fleet. Just random shit he blows money on in futile attempts.
This week: a carbon bike that doesn't fit him. Because he never road his old bike from the early 2000s, he needed a new one.
Components seem front suspension is weak sauce.
Price was $1250 best I can tell from amazon.

I won't ride a bike without a Fox fork. My Fox cost as much as the rest of my bike and it's just lovely.

Is this just new stuff or can we bring up past purchases?

This weekend, his home brew shit will be here. I gather he has spent about $1500 in brew shit.

a fucking 10gal SS brew pot...
im not sure what else but he went full tard and thinks he will be making 10gal batches of beer. Ive tried to convince him for his first brew, to take it simple, make a small 5 gal batch and use a kit to learn the basics.

anything is fair game. My delay, is work and searching for images of shit he has bought.Big Brain Bradley wrote: ↑Fri Mar 03, 2017 2:14 pm Is this just new stuff or can we bring up past purchases?

I kind of want to buy a cheapass welder and try to burn my house down. Welding would be such a handy skill.

its just the copious amounts of bullshit he already has. A man with unlimited hobbies. Many he tries only once.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Fri Mar 03, 2017 2:47 pmThere's not a damn thing wrong with this buy.dubshow wrote: ↑Fri Mar 03, 2017 2:38 pm This weekend, his home brew shit will be here. he bought a broken used golf course reel mower for super fine cuts. Paid $1500. drove a weekend to Arkansas...
spent a chunk fixing it. It half way works. He has never used it because it doesnt cut as well as his HD diesel mower or the batwing tractor...

Refresh my memory, is it your mother who purchased a golf course?
it is. and they hate each other. one parent has nothing to do with the other one. my dad does have an affinity for the idea of golf and cutting grass.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Fri Mar 03, 2017 2:57 pmRefresh my memory, is it your mother who purchased a golf course?

Just pointing out some irony. Probably no point in trying to take dad's unused mower out to the gc. How is the golf course project going, btw? Operational?dubshow wrote: ↑Fri Mar 03, 2017 2:58 pmit is. and they hate each other. one parent has nothing to do with the other one. my dad does have an affinity for the idea of golf and cutting grass.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Fri Mar 03, 2017 2:57 pm
