Of course they did. Even if it's just local advertising sales on day time TV, or magazine ads, whatever, such a mainstream vehicle has to be advertised if it is to remain mainstream.

BTW I don't yet see any movement in used JK pricing... NEW JKs are pretty much 4-5k off anywhere you look.... JLs listed as sticker for 's ...
So the difference between an average JK<>JL is 7000-8000 right now...
Damn... that's almost like an entirely different vehicle class altogether.
FCA may be onto something here, they have to be minting money on the JK even at 7-10k off sticker since that platform is fully depreciated as is.

Most will miss it, but climbing those rocks right after getting out of the water (with both the tires and rocks wet) is legit Most vehicles wouldn't make it. They also didn't filter out the generally undesired suspension and tire scraping sounds as it climbed. Whoever put this together knows what's up. I absolutely love it.

Good commercial was good. Disclaimer says it's a man made lake and waterfall but that makes sense. Still bet most vehicles, even off road vehicles, wouldn't make it up that.

Yea, I saw that. Still doesn't look easy, but maybe they coated the rocks with grit so the tires would grip.
Still the best SB commercial I've seen. I love it.

Yeah its clear there was a little bit of fuckery going on, like the lake/river not getting deper in the middle and how easily it went up the waterfall. But still a good commercial. Simple and people will remember it as "that Jeep is badass".

i like how they made a commercial of that car showing what it's made of in the first place. Also i'm not sure if the rubicon is higher stock compared to JK?
If that italian diesel engine proven to be reliable for the 1st course, i may consider pulling the plunge.

So, I read a story in my feed about that commercial yesterday. Someone was questioning what mods were done to the Jeep, so they reached out to Jeep and the official reply was that they did two things to that Jeep for the commercial:
1. BFG 35" tires
2. $1,000 Mopar 2" lift kit
for a commercial, some of the vehicles you see are pretty far from stock. You can literally drive it out of the dealership like that.

For traffic and
Plus, around here, they're not really "roads" anymore. Just crumbling rocks that were once smooth and attached.

MI "roads" are indeed terribad. Every time I go up they're a little worse. I'd drive a rally car with shocks or FX35/RX350 type thing up there, not a sports car.

Porsche Mecan. It's the perfect vehicle for here. I'd have one if my circumstances were different.troyguitar wrote: ↑Tue Feb 06, 2018 10:26 amMI "roads" are indeed terribad. A diesel JL will likely lick 60k, and in most applications it adds 400-600lbs fuck that,MexicanYarisTK wrote: ↑Tue Feb 06, 2018 10:12 ami like how they made a commercial of that car showing what it's made of in the first place. Also i'm not sure if the rubicon is higher stock compared to JK?
