Legit curious, I'm not very familiar with all the regs.
CAFE is calculated by footprint and volume. If you have a large vehicle with huge interior volume that gets decent fuel economy, that's better than a large vehicle with less volume and the same fuel economy. In the case of the Tahoe, it's worse volume capacity AND FE, which is a tough sell. Tahoe drags down CAFE because of it's FE, which is why they're so expensive to keep volume in check. They have a place for families that want to tow, but the Traverse is intended to replace the Tahoe for families that just want a big vehicle to derp.
And I think it does that well. I'd drive one if I spawned. It looks 5/7 to me for a family hauler.

My guess would be that Chris took some time off because he has read the dialogue on this page 1,345 times and decided to spend some of his free time doing something besides beating a horse to death.

This is a vehicle for breeders. A minivan without the minivan shape. else you want ?
None of you guys are going to buy it... you're not the target here

Looks like an emorphous blob with no purpose whatsoever. And why the shrinking rear quarter panel window?
WHY GM WHY? Let's make it harder for people to see in the name of "styling"
I think this was my only real complaint about the MKV GTI. The rear windows angled upwards and created that blind spot. I was used to checking the hell out of my sides because I've always had dark dark tint, but I always awaited for that dreaded *honk* for when I trusted myself too much and didn't look twice back there.
That's gonna get some kids killed before they fix it
Purse goes in center console. Hit the brakes somewhat hard. Purse pushes N, driver doesn't know. Crash because couldn't accelerate out of the way because the car is in N or rolls backwards.
I honestly don't think it's that bad. I guess that's the talking.

The GMC Terrain that is the subject of this thread.
Lest I saw something that looked insanely similar. (I know it's an '18 model)
I haven't seen one yet and I work at the engineering center. I usually see stuff before it's revealed.
Or, luck.
