Nah, you're good. This is obviously an open forum (other than Brad's political rants apparently lol) to express the good and bad in life.

The self employed thing is :impressive: I don't know if I could :doit: , major pros and cons there. Seems like a good way to go if you have the motivation and skills :doe:
Apparently cucky liberals get real mad when you point out their BLATANT hypocrisy. :iono:

Anywho, yall real fucking sad up in here, what gives?
Yo! You showed up in the middle of a venting  sesh.

You should check out some of the madness that’s been happening in the members rides and keep up to date in the 2022 :plac: thread. I’m still maintaining that

Yep it's a good way to look at it. In reflecting yesterday and over the weekend, I think I need to focus on being a bit more :aintcare: as far as work goes, do what I need to do, the best I can, let go of the rest.

We could all use some therapy, it's a tough and turbulent world we live in. Sorry, it's been a bummer of a weekend for me and I hope I'm not projecting too much negativity on the group.

The corporate grind doesn't help, those middle manager types are being paid to figure out how to make their workers produce more and get paid less. What a fking scam, I'm just happy that I'm self employed and still busy. It's no easy feat, but it at least offers some level of control and independence. It has it's own challenges and obstacles, so there really isn't any one easy route. Just gotta find joy in what you're doing or do it for the paycheck and :aintcare: I guess.

maybe. not much to post, got a :scrooge: miata, a :scrooge: volt, and a :scrooge: mdx. Oh and a :scrooge: motorbike. I really just maintain them and use them.

Ironically i had not seen a sephia for years and pulled up behind one when i had the engine on the trailer :lolol:

Trust me, I have considered a newer sports car. I have a few things stopping me on that front, including the fact that the NA and NB chassis miata are the literal benchmark even still for roadsters. Also that money would be better spent other places. My car is nice enough but not too nice to let sit outside, so unlike a newer one I don't feel bad about it getting abused. My style these days. Maybe when the recession gets a head of steam and I can buy a Fiata for 10k cash I'll think about it.

At the end of the day I own 3 vehicles for one person, own 2 outright and am in sight of paying off the third. The smart play is to hold station. I have a :scrooge: fleet and an understanding wife, most people could not get away with this. Im also happy with this fleet. Sometimes i want a little faster bike, or a more reliable sports car, but all in all its going well. Just need to fix a few more things on miata and its good to go for awhile. Hell I dailyed it last week just because I could.

This is the way. Since you’re slanging audio equipment, if it gets hard for you to keep this perspective, it might help to look at your job as helping other people enjoy their free time in whatever capacity the stuff you’re selling is going to be used. Might feel a little less cog-in-the-wheel.. but :iono: like yeah at the end of the day what we’re all doing is completely fucking meaningless and we should all just be tending to plots of land that grows the food we eat, but we’ve come to enjoy our toys and you provide toys for others to enjoy and get rewarded by being able to enjoy other toys.

Most of my meetings are camera on, but luckily they dgaf about apparel and I just wear a t-shirt and shorts all day. DoC just :nuke: full remote work for us, so next pay period I start going in once per pp, and then next fiscal year in October I’ll start going in 1x/week… we’ll see how bad that actually is and if it’s enough to prompt Michelle and I to move closer to Seattle.

Technically the "dining area", but the island has 4 stools already and we eat on the couch like most people anyways. This freed up lots of garage space moving it all inside.
