Just a word of warning... I bike 50+ miles/week and the bike thread is still way "over my head". But it's a fun hobby, I've really ramped it up during the quarantine and am loving it, would definitely recommend. Running is also fun and the best "bang for your buck" - it's nearly free, burns a ton of cals in a short time, requires no research, etc.
So I bought some useless junk recently...

I used to run in high school and college when I was doing a full year of soccer, cross country, and track.D Griff wrote: ↑Tue Jun 02, 2020 1:27 pmJust a word of warning... I'd rather just run over lifting weights and other shit. I can put on headphones and just death metal it up and be in my own zone.
But the bike would be kinda nice. We do have several bike bike lanes at the end of my neighborhood.
I like running and biking a lot... they're different. Running you can pretty much fully zone out as you're saying, so that's a nice "mental break". Riding is because you can easily cover a lot of miles, it's a great way to "sight see" while getting exercise. It's also nice to have the 15-20 mph breeze when it's hot.Acid666 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 02, 2020 1:31 pmI used to run in high school and college when I was doing a full year of soccer, cross country, and track.D Griff wrote: ↑Tue Jun 02, 2020 1:27 pm

Wanted to get back into mechanical watches but a lot of even decent watches have a high cost of entry (a few hundred dollars). After some research I stumbled upon the Seiko SNK809 watch. $79 on Amazon. 37mm case so it's on the smaller size, but the proper size for a field watch. double-dial (hours and minutes), good looks, comfortable NATO band, and the tried and true 7S26 automatic movement.
Super affordable cost of entry and a great value:

I like the watch, Rudy! I think it would be a little too small for a man of my stature, but pretty neat for the !
Also, kinda of the iPhone SE. If I was buying a new one now, I'd totally have gone that route. But , I got this 8 about 1.5 years ago, will try to make it another 2+ years with it at least.

I’m a little over a year with my XS Max. I’d like to hold onto it for another 4-5 years at least. I don’t care much about iPhone photography and that seems to be the focus of most of the upgrades lately.D Griff wrote: ↑Thu Jun 11, 2020 12:23 pm I like the watch, Rudy! I enjoy having the camera but I feel like even on my 8 the camera is pretty damn good. I don't know why you'd bother "upgrading" at this point if the phone isn't broken. I have had a 5, 7, and 8 (first two were company issued) and they have all been exactly the same.SAWCE wrote: ↑Thu Jun 11, 2020 12:37 pmI’m a little over a year with my XS Max. I was thinking about upgrading smart watch but decided not too.
I bought a white people cup for office water .
I bought a used evoluent mouse for work that reminds me of mk4 soft touch plastics in all the wrong ways.
Oh and land. 5 acres.
