I wonder if the Mazda 3 still tanks in value used. A natty engine one of those might work as a train station car. They have a decent Blowse system.
Mazderp was always the worst of the Land of the rising sun brands.... as far as resale value.

My only experience with the motors is in the CX5, where the na motor feels totally inadequate and the turbo feels strong enough. But the 3 should be fine with the na engine as it’s much lighter. I’m sure it’s fine sans AWD for the weather in Philly region.

But not happening at those prices.

Frontier averaged 23.2 on the drive home.

Rides great and much smoother than the TRDOR Taco. 9speed shifts smoothly and feels good.
Seats are borderline great, although the lack of telescoping steering wheel is a bit of a bummer.

Sound system is the premium Fender audio and kicks pretty damn well.

Steering is hydraulic. Heavy.

Minimal road noise and the thing just feels solid. I’m impressed so far.
You sold the 86? Got an offer you couldn’t refuse?
In the last month I was rear ended with about $1500 in damage by someone with no insurance. Cracked the windshield twice on the highway. Hit the retread that got kicked up and did about $1200 in damage to the underbody cover and fender liners, and tore up the clear bra on the bumper.

The car isn't exactly great as a highway cruiser obviously, and the plan to jump into a Maverick as a daily kept falling apart as Ford dealerships are just trash piles to deal with.

I just need to ZFG drive for now. I got out of the 86 as is with the damage and still made money on the car. I'm fine. I'll buy another one eventually.

Oh right, the accident. I forgot about that. Cool you got out of it with no negative financial impact.

Yeah the truck should be way more carefree to drive.

To be fair that 1" telescope you get from the taco is rather pathetic.

I think more like a commute he couldn't refuse. But I'm sure he was able to pull nearly $40K for the 86, that's the world we live in.

Kind of wild. Yeah I get it. Sporty loud rough cars are annoying sometimes. And tiny cars get cut off and bullied a lot.

I took 34 for it without having to fix any of the damage. Factoring in the sales tax credit for trading i didnt do too bad, all things considered.

:dat: trade values at all time highs... and a good portion of us ended up selling used cars above new MSRP. So why not... I was going to buy a new Defender... but decided against it... so instead rolling in a nearly fully depreciated benz till the storm clears.

Bringing home a souvenir from vacation in Colorado.

Image

Fulfilling my high school dream...Hyper Blue 2000 S10 ZR2 :manuel: not a spec of rust on it, runs and drives like a dream, interior needs some work, paint needs some work, 180k miles, bought from 3rd owner for $6k.

Road tripping home through the Rockies, into Wyoming, SD, Mt Rushmore, Badlands, etc.

Yes, I know this is retarded. Yes, I overpaid for something that probably should be in a junkyard (nobody wants S10s) No, I don't care. It will be my "beater" tinker toy project. I'm stoked.
