It was the cheapest model they had, and the one you had to buy first before you could buy some other model.

Mid engine as well if we’re including Poorsches that aren’t S models.

I've actually seen 2 prototype Hummers around Detroit this week, and they're weird IRL. Absolutely massive and neat looking, but the belly is LOW. They try to hide it with black cladding and steps, but it looks like a cool truck body dropped on top of batteries (which it is). Still, I like it and am pretty shocked GM pulled it off. Doug seemed to like it quite a bit as well, but he was clearly at the GM proving grounds, and special access like that doesn't come to people that don't love the products.

Just talked to a coworker. He just traded in his 2015 JKU on a 2021 Silverbrahdo with 600 miles. The :truk: has leather and a moon roof, and the 5.3 motor. Listed for $53k and offered to coworker for $49.5. Coworker was :notsure: until :dillerman: offered him $28k for his 7 year old :jeep: with 93,000 miles. So he got a new :truk: for basically $21k out out of pocket. He paid $38 for the :jeep: so $10k in depreciation over 7 years.

:notbad: :dill: overall.

Decentish deal. That truck in normal times would have been low $40k, and will be again soon since there's nothing rare or unique about them.

But $28k for a 7 year old JK with 90k miles? That's :mindblown: so it probably all washes out.

My current working theory is the .com money losing car dealers are driving the top end (new cars) as well by overpaying for old pieces of shit “keeping the payments the same”… rising tide is raising all ships.

Exactly. It had a few stupid cosmetic mods on it, too. Some :bs: on the grill, eyelids over the headlights, red angel eyes, silly :ramz: , etc,

Those grills are pricey! And they're not easy to swap. The fact that someone would spend so much time and effort to make the vehicle look so significantly worse/stupid is just :mindblown: to me.

Jeep mods are incredibly expensive if done right (you can spend 15k on shocks alone)... that said... Ima leave this here.

His wasn't that bad, but it was some sort of "angry face" type of thing. Was stupid. He did it because his son liked it. The dude is a pretty straight-up guy, :doe: . Married, 3 kids, one with Downs who is doing great, homeowner, does a good job here at work, etc. Just :notsure: taste in :jeep: s :lolol:

The worst part is 4/7 times they are purchased together for the jeepers.

Angry bird grill is 100% the worst jeep mod. See them on stock sport trims all the time.
