If you're in California, why not try to snag an EV lease for cheap? You can sell the Mini, get a cheap EV for that precious HOV access, and pay next to nothing? I think people are getting Bolts for $170/month
Some areas new bolts are about $23k after incentives to purchase. However I don't know if EV gets you HOV access automatically anymore as CA caps the amount they give out.
Yea my buddy was looking into these vs the leaf. A lot of bait and switch here and I know I may sound crazy to y’all but a bolt to me is seppoku but an I3 is kinda nice.

You have had no avatar for like 4 days. Why is that?

Yes it's a cool car. But prepare the lube/sawdust.

Wife’s das has an I3 REX. It’s ok. Weird car. Drives weird. Range sucks. He hasn’t had any issues with it and it’s a first model year one I think.
The fact that it cucks you to like 55 MPH when the rex engine is on is fucking stupid. And it only carries like 2 gallons or something.
I’d sell the mini if you’re not driving it. Drive the poverty TSX. Re evaluate once supply is restored. There’s no way I’d be looking to in this market unless my car was literally falling apart. Which mine is lol. Because Ford.

All true, 19+ models have double the range of 14-15
Models. What year is his ?
What was weird driving though ? Just drives like
A toaster to me.
Rex restriction is completely solvable with software.

It’s a 14 or 15 don’t know which.
One pedal driving hurts my brain. It’s impossible for them to drive it smoothly too so it’s a barf machine for everyone involved. We all hate it.

My wife HATED when I did one pedal driving in the Volt. Always complained that it was going to make her puke. That's not an issue for the driver

My guess would be that Chris took some time off because he has read the dialogue on this page 1,345 times and decided to spend some of his free time doing something besides beating a horse to death.
