More retarded news.
$44,000 today is equal to $36,900 in 2009.
People are paying 13.5% more. But they're getting a much better, more capable, more standard features vehicle.
is hard for most people... what's that monthly payment

How about sheer vehicle size? A midsizer should be compared to a full size truck from 2009
Everyone wants to drive a house on wheels now.

I've never dealt with "scum" at a gas station before.
Must be doing it

Oh right. When you figure you're getting 13% more sheet metal with it, the value really adds up.

In size? No. A midsizer is more akin to a fullsizer from the 90's. It's very similar in dimensions to my 92 K1500 was. Though, the full sizer was still a bit wider.
Full size trucks have gone

This. Also I love the comments section in that link... Full of "these new trucks are so expensive I can't justify the cost so I'll just keep driving my 1995 Toyota 4 banger." OK dude they obvi don't give a fuck about your opinion because wouldn't be purchasing a new anything anyway.

You have to expect this when you go over to jalopnik though. Autoblog got so horrible I just stopped visiting their site. It was all word vomit with no actual vehicle drives anymore and copypasta from other millennial news feeds with no fact checking.

Yea, the comments in those articles are ridiculous.
"OEM should make new bare bones reg cab short bed small truck so I can buy it used for $10k in 5 years".
OEMs can't make vehicle programs on used sales.

But it's also because there's no money in it. These people are required to crank out multiple "articles" per day while making barely over minimum wage. There's no way to end up with quality, fact-checked content from that.

I don't like Trump. But I do have to give him credit for at least one thing. The fake news cries woke a lot of people up to challenging what they're being told and to look up or fact check information before parroting it.

Has it? Seems like there's just more polarization of the "facts" and people think they're educated by reading fake news to spout off at eachother.
This country is spiraling. The moral fabric of society is torn, perhaps irreparably. Trump is merely a product of it, not the cause.

For maths - lets talk real wages over time. Yep they dont keep up with inflation hence the sheer cost of transactions being high and longer term loans the norm. Price matters and in many cases customers are priced out. That aint hard to figure in real terms is it.

Where are you getting gas, mang?
That sounds like if I were to go into Trenton to the corner mart. I'd also probably get jacked/shot.
There's plenty of places I could go that guarantee getting carjacked in Detroit. I just simply don't go to those stations. I always fill up a vehicle just as it gets below a half tank so I can be more selective with where I go.

When I used to work in Yardley I figured I'd just drive right over the bridge to get gas in jersey after work. So much cheaper right?
probably wanted to jack my Mk6 and maybe saw it was a
and decided against it.
Never again.
