This was outstanding. Medium-lightly pleated and 61.6% abv+!
I am going to hunt for a bottle
Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whiskey is barely enough

In poverty drinking news, "basic" Old Forrester is $24 for a 1.75 at Costco. At that price you can't afford to be sober.

A bargain at twice the price.
Old Forrester is basically Woodford reserve seconds, if not the same exactly just relabeled. Same mash bill, same yeast strain.

Old Forrester has always been great bourbon at a great price, but at $24/handle, wowza.

Looks interesting, if not just for the bottle alone.

It's good to know that you are out there fighting for the extremely poor. Like an Airboat Batman

Boss gave me a Christmas present today...
Front and center... I think he gets me.
Got some Balevenie 12 year that I like a lot. In4results on the 25.
I just overpoured myself about 2.5 ounces in a Glen Cairn.
The nose is rather tame, but definitely can smell the oak cask. The taste is really mellow, no big spike of any extra crazy flavors or alcohol burn. Just some hints of sweetness followed by oak to round it out.
Quite drinkable and enjoyable for when you don't want peat or complex concoctions of flavors. I like it.

That sounds 5/7.
I've been meaning to try Balvenie. Gotta make it happen.

That is an INCREDIBLE bottle. He's a keeper.
I've worked for him for just over 22 years, so yeah..

I've come to a decision on Johnny Drumm. It's a perfect second dram and it probably would do well decanted.
Did you try it over ice? Really woke it up for me.
