And now i came back from heaven. Its a crime not to have awd nowadays.

Practically everyone had rwd cars 40 years ago and drove in snow![]()

AWD is cool, not hating.
Again, it seems like a no brainer to throw in some type of smallish hybrid system into the back of a fwd car. It can do ev/hybrid things around town and you can not incur those drivetrain losses on the highway, AND effectively have AWD. Why will no one except volvo do this? It would make an incredible hot hatch.

Surprised you haven’t swapped that out for an x3 or something yet….D Griff wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2025 6:03 amgolftdibrad1 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 08, 2025 7:20 am

I've also never owned an AWD car. Unless thecounts, but that's really the
machine. I would 100% choose 2WD if available on anything we buy next. I mean, the
on the beach/dunes thing is really fun, but like Max said, we're dragging around hardware that gets used two days/year.

Were starting to have even shittier drivers who can't even drive on a weather drier than death valley, let alone snow. The cucktrek handled snow well last year though even in hilly areas, accord did struggle on some slight hills spinning my way through.D Griff wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2025 6:04 amMexicanYarisTK wrote: ↑Wed Jan 08, 2025 12:51 pm

As far as some crossovers are concerned, id like awd for traction purposes as silly as may sound. For instance, when i borrowed my friends 1.5t Tiguan fwd in Turkey, for something that makes as same power as a base jetta, it still spin wheels when I was attemping to pass someone at 15 mph slightly uphill and it was dry and sunny.D Griff wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2025 6:03 amgolftdibrad1 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 08, 2025 7:20 am

Meh, I don’t care enough to make a vehicle swap. I like the Wrangler fine. Pros are it’s reliable, looks cool, convertible, owned outright/very cheap to own. That outweighs the cons which are mostly the steering is shit and poor fuel economy.J-Ho-Fo-Show69 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2025 7:57 amSurprised you haven’t swapped that out for an x3 or something yet….D Griff wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2025 6:03 am

Hopefully we get a fuck tom of snow this weekend and you can engage the 4x4. Maxx is coming over Saturday to lift and we’re hoping to rip in some snow in the TJD Griff wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2025 9:38 pmMeh, I don’t care enough to make a vehicle swap. I like the Wrangler fine. I don’t really like driving the jeep but I still like jeeps and think they’re fun enthusiast vehicles. Better than a boring CUV.
I can imagine a Jeep is quite fun in the snow. The STI was a blast in those conditions.J-Ho-Fo-Show69 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2025 9:46 pmHopefully we get a fuck tom of snow this weekend and you can engage the 4x4. It’s fun to just plow through anything NFG. That said I’ve driven it in snow only three or four times. It never snowed much here but now it’s zero in the new climate world.Johnny_P wrote: ↑Fri Jan 10, 2025 12:42 pmI can imagine a Jeep is quite fun in the snow. Can you plow through everything “nfg” in a car with 4.5” ground clearance ?
It’s rare it snows more than that in Philly. The STI on snow tires tracked dead straight through anything. It had so much grip it was insane.
Do you want to buy my Kicker sub? I recently removed it from the CUCKOMA.Johnny_P wrote: ↑Fri Jan 17, 2025 1:26 pm The radio is really driving me a bit nuts. It sounds so bad. I’m really tempted to call crutchfield and order some crap but I’m not interested in spending a weekend ripping the interior apart. I don’t have any free time for that.
Other than that the car is pretty great. It’s super smooth to drive, quick enough for daily stuff, handles well, and even in the winter mpg has been great. 45 mpg average overall so far and it’s the size of a yacht which is awesome. Nothing wrong with it aside from some rattling behind the info screen… it’s a Honda after all. Curiously the CRV has fewer rattles despite 35k miles of pure neglect. CRV is also more comfortable and has a better suspension but that’s to be expected with the Accord riding on 19s and super low to the ground. The Accord is way more stable, quicker, and more responsive.
Also the way the car goes down the road reminds me slightly of the Benz C class I rented in Germany. It’s got that same flowing quality.
Is it an under seat integrated amp one? If so maybe. But again see comment about tearing the interior apart while managing two kids.max225 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 17, 2025 1:31 pmDo you want to buy my Kicker sub?
