Any reason you want to go roof versus hitch? I have really enjoyed my 1Up, easier loading, no MPG hit, I think a hair less expensive and/or easier to find used as they're universal.Johnny_P wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2025 9:32 am I forgot to get floor mats for it and was reminded that carpet sucks in cars this snowfall. So I just ordered some 3D Maxpider mats. They’ve been fine in the CRV.
I want to get a bike roof rack but god damn they’re expensive. $700 ish just for the bars and attachments, the actual bike carrier is even more.
Hanging another 2 ft off the back of this thing will make it longer than an F150 lolD Griff wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2025 10:59 amAny reason you want to go roof versus hitch? It’s been ok. I needed a change. This is a stepping stone and I’ll only be here for another 12 months ish. This job sucks big time but it’s a check box. The pay increase along with reduced wage tax (+$13k base / +$7k bonus) has made life a lot less stressful. So that’s good.
Deathtraps!

They lack dynamics where it makes johnnys crv feel like a lotus elise. Have a v8 that some make just as much power as a modern economy car.wap wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2025 8:34 pmAnd often on shitty, bias-ply tires.MexicanYarisTK wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2025 8:13 pm

The CRV is AWD and it'll run circles around the Accord in any sort of inclement weather. Part of that is AWD, but it also weighs more, has more clearance, and has more tire sidewall. I didn't have any issues in this snow but I stayed on well plowed roads. I have very low expectations for this car in snow, due to how low it is to the ground, and the width of the tires at 235.MexicanYarisTK wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2025 8:12 pm:derps: still manage to get stuck in awd cuv's as i pass them by with my wrong wheel drive accord that spins wheels with 80% throttle even on a good day.
I should also add that it was plowed but slushy roads, had a few slight understeers that was easy to recover. Along the way, I saw a hyundai tuscon hit a snow bank on the side walk at a corner of a 25 limit road Last year when we had snow plus a highlander in similar situation, I had the cucktrek and the main road of my apartment gets curvy and hilly. A bunch of cars couldnt get up the hill, like a ford escape, nissan sentra and a bus. A dual motor model 3 and the cucktrek felt like driving on a good day. This time I never bothered to drive the 'cord on that road cause the only way I can ever possibly survive is to becomeJohnny_P wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2025 9:24 pmThe CRV is AWD and it'll run circles around the Accord in any sort of inclement weather.
