Was it a unanimous vote? So this is what the fall of an empire looks like?! 👍

Does it matter if it was unanimous ? We had 10% vote for harambe some elections ago. Current candidate won the majority

I'm with the :caspian: :fax: :225: folks on this. Poor people should just get more money or kill themselves. Fuck society, everyone for themselves.

Unless it's something that would help me, of course... then everyone should contribute to make it easier for me.

Max, you, Rudy, and I know what communism looks like (second hand obviously).... Any resemblances? Remember equal income schemes? This is the same shit with a different paint job.

It ends with no $$ or food. Scarcity and silence is the way of life.

I just want smaller government. Ours is getting bigger every year and running shit into the ground. If we had capable people in charge it would be better. Not sure where that lands me politically but yea.

At the fear of starting some sort of scream fest online I don’t want to post anything else.

Things are really not looking good in this country and most of the western world as of late. And there does seem to be a commonality in that.

Fair enough, I've been having a hard time with these "changes" and they just keep going from bad to worse.

Is what it is... You either trust rich people to be benevolent instead of selfish (capitalism), you trust the mob to not be stupid (democracy), or you trust a dictator...

Sounds like you guys who are rich want the first option? Big surprise.

What's the smallest government? Who's the best?

You, with no one in charge but you. Total anarchy.

Anything else is some :bs: matter of degrees that no one is ever going to agree on.

So yeah, they don't take from the rich to give to the poor. They just take. Guess we celebrate poverty together forever. ❤️

Really wish I didn't spend half my life working Saturdays to give my family a comfortable life.

Looks like this is targeted right at the middle class. Yay. Buying a home is one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. Mainly because I can’t afford anything.

Half of it. Trying to move out of the city. It’s been a disaster. Constantly getting outbid on homes that are vastly overpriced.

The issue is everything that's been done to make homeownership more attainable has just made homes more expensive. 30 year loans? Homes get more expensive. Subsidized rates? Homes get more expensive. Down payment assistance? Homes get more expensive. Lower down payment requirements? Homes get more expensive. What is subsidized, becomes more expensive.

My dad bought his first house in 1984 for $39,000. That's ~$115k in today's dollars. That same house today is worth north of $200k. You want more people to buy houses? Make them cost less.

One issue near me is what little new construction there is, they all start at $1 million.

The other end unit in my townhouse sold a month ago for $52k over ask. I thought crazy offers over asking price were done but I guess not. It was priced a bit below market and there were zero pictures online which means it was a complete dump inside but it still sold almost immediately. Pretty sure it was old fossils that lived in it. Now there's a dumpster and a contractor there every day as the house must be getting gutted.

Everyone I know here is extra busy "doing more with less" waiting to be fired. Over the last 2 years, the wife has gone from having 5 employees down to now 1. She had no input in any of it and AFAIK there are no plans to replace any of them, so I expect her to be let go any time now. Why keep a manager to manage one person?
...and a week later she got fired. Playtime's over. Back to poverty life. :thisisfine:

:( sorry to hear it’s getting to be really bad… out here it’s almost like more people are laid off than not in my friend circle.
Hope they at least gave decent severance
