My F series also still had the analog fuel economy gayge, which is the dumbest thing but I loved it.

I prefer that. I cannot stand digital fuel gauges.

I was really against digital gauges until I drove a million cars with them and it really makes no difference.

I dig the 80s corvette digital gauges, don’t really care for the aesthetics of the modern digital style I guess. I’m just old school.

A Millie? Wow

In reality, well over 100 over the last three years. Driving at night in 2024 is utter shit under pretty much any circumstance, so :aintcare: about the gauges really.

Its really become pretty awful. Unless you're up high in a truck or SUV thing of sorts. Fortunately there's not much traffic at 5:45 AM so its not such a big deal.

thats really good mpgz. everything i own sucks ass in fuel terms. :truk: gets 16 mpg all day any way. m4 gets about 19 mpgs, all city. f31 gets around 24/25 short city commute 29/30 highway.

the grom still gets about 80/90 mpg
Maybe it's the AWD/larger ass, but my F30 got like 28/34. I also drive like a little bitch on the highway.
I feel the b48 is slightly different in power too than yours. n20? Don't recall.

I don’t recall the exact numbers but you’re correct, there was a boost. I had :tuna: :doe:

BMWs latest engines have been true rockstars.
Which is nice because things like the N54 sounded awesome initially but they're absolute disasters.

I agree mostly, other than the coolant leaks. Every connection is plastic and 100% will break within 5-6 years. The mechanicals of the engines are pretty good.

The F31 wagoon has been plagued with leaks. Sadly most involve removing the intake manifold. The woes of everything being plastic. Luckily, the aftermarket has returned aluminum bits, which are often cheaper than OE plastic. So a little DIY and you can be great. Dropping it off to a shop is a $1500-2k hit each visit.

Drove it to the body shop yesterday.... :tits: :pout:
the f30 chassis is a great car. The awd is perfect, the power is balanced. Stock brakes are good enough for a family wagon. I really like it. I'd say with the stiffer chassis and awd it handles better than the vert m4. The m4 is on mich all seasons... :flaccid: and i cant afford the proper sport tires right now... so it isnt a really fair compare. The wagoon is on the well loved conti DSW6. The wagon insipres much more confidence in curves. The m4 is a bit twitchier and flexy in the middle, because vert.

The regular F30 is a great chassis and a set of stickier front tires away from fun. I actually had a great time on the track n post melon mods and blew by several M3s, but I think they just sucked at driving. I’m an average HPDE driver. Probably faster than most HPDE 2 guys in NASA and slower than most HPDE 3 guys.

I believe you are referring to "high" beams. I feel that in the accord, but then again I haven't tinted the windows. I remember in the mk7 I had 35% in the rear window, the only issue I had is those crappy led bulbs in halogen housing.

Exactly. You can boost it all the way until the timing chain guides explode.

The CRV is over 3 years old now. It’s been abused by my kid since day 1. Climbed all over, panels kicked, used as a Hot Wheels car track, eaten in, etc. Remarkably it has absolutely no rattles at all. Everything works. It’s not had a single issue. I literally don’t have to think about this car at all.

Easily the best vehicle I’ve ever owned.

Accord keeps developing new rattles and buzzes. Some were remedied by cleaning leaves. But these new ones sound like doors need to be taken apart to wrap wiring or something. Pretty disappointing.

Damn, my accord still holds up pretty well now that i hit 70k, zero mechanical issues to report. I noticed one specific part of the center console scratches pretty easily that i dont see frequently and the tip of the window switch metal randomly broke off.

Your gen was made better, with better materials throughout. That's painfully evident if you sit in them back to back.
