Pretty wild... California $7 gas is doing wonders to EV adoption... yet Electricity prices for public charging have doubled.
public charging is for poor people

Yea... they waste so much time sitting at chargers 5x a week And seeing Teslas street parked next to apartments is pretty much unless you have charging at work.
There is a BP right down the street from me that is within ~$.10 of Costco's 87. Looking on Gas Buddy, the BP is $3.29 and Costco is $3.17. So, given the GTI takes 10-11 gallons when I fill up, unless I am going to Costco for other things, it doesn't really make sense to do a 40 minute round trip just to save ~$1.20.
Premium is a $.20 difference right now between the BP and Costco. I'll make the trip to Costco for that simply because it is another reason to drive the toys.
Three years ago, it was an entirely different story with Costco. Back then, they were charging for 93 what gas stations near me were charging for 87.

Yea delta here is 60 cents per g minimum between top tier and costco and 80 cents for premium. And yes I know costco claims it is top tier but I beg to differ.

Surprised to see the prolific Costco usage here.
Texas for ex in my history of going there always has so little variation in the pricing that it makes Costco obsolete.
It's funny, I actually find the Costco gas sitch more disdainful than pretty much any other station... waiting in like locked between cars is a no from me, dawg, that's worse than seeing a homeless person.

Ours has hours before and after the store hours. Zero line. I go then.

Never a line at mine. Depends on the Costco location.

This may be a thing I should explore, although I also hate making a trip just to get gas. I’m cool spending an extra $2/month to save 20 minutes. Our Costco is close to home but also not in a place I ever go otherwise. If I think about it more I may be able to make it work.

Yup. I also tend to go to Costco an hour before they close on a weekday, which cuts down on the amount of other people in the store. Once I load up the car, the line at the station is usually minimal if not nonexistent.
