OT 17: WELCOME TO THE CORONADOME!

:magic:[user not found] wrote: ↑Tue Feb 25, 2020 2:18 amYou’re still banned, even after the merger of all the golfmk sites?
I somehow became unbanned because of my active accounts on MkV and MKVII.

Engineering? .....You could say that. I've moved about 3 spots higher now and do a lot of management, business and planning. Hence most of my absence from the forums for years. I figured I would drop by and say hello...
I've seen some of our younger engineers get MK6s, MK7s...and often am reminded of those days. Such arrogance on my part.....meh. I recently had a discussion with a fellow asking me questions about my intake thread on MK6.
Nuff bout me, what about y'all?

mk6 totaled to a mk7, so eggs for seven years running, got lightweight and couple goodies, no just my daily that looks good. Looking to move onto either m240i or Camaro SS, going back to within a year.Grambles wrote: ↑Tue Feb 25, 2020 12:51 pmEngineering? .....You could say that. GTI ran for about 170k miles then was going to need a new ECM, so traded it in on a Moved down time San Diego about 5 years ago (don’t remember when you were last active) and now I’m working as a contract analyst for a company and builds and repairs ships for the Navy.

I believe so but it was also a long time ago. Lost interest in Mini, but if i do ill let you know. Mazda and VW, are you in Hamilton? I got my mk7 at Hamilton VW and I know they were also part of a mazda dealer.[user not found] wrote: ↑Tue Feb 25, 2020 2:17 am17? You mean MINI of Ramsey, aka Prestige MINI? They were always a bit pompous when I had to locate cars from that area. Greater NYC area dealers are always pretty terrible though.09vdubgti wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2020 11:25 pm
Speaking of Mini, before I got my Subaru.
I was kinda set on a Countryman S All4, did my research on it and had a price range figure in my head. If it were in the area I would've taken the car then and there. I went to Mini in Edison.
I was the only person in the showroom, I walked around and saw the one I wanted. And not one sales guy came up to me. There was a guy sitting at his desk, he looked up saw me and didnt bother even saying hey. Went back to looking at his computer. I figured someone will come, and no one did. Their loss I was ready to buy and left. Worst experience ever in a dealer, out of spite I bought something else. This was the second bad experience Ive had with Mini dealership, I had a similar one before up north on the Mini on 17 iirc.
I know one person at MINI of Edison, let me know if you’d like to try again.
Or if you want a Mazderp or another Veedub, I’m your mans.
Its mostly just stock parts, stock gti suspension, vw huffs wheels, all season matts, oem radio, votex lip (mkv), trunk organizer, bunch of detailing stuff compounds, polishes, PC 7424xp, and the creme de la creme my set of BBS Impuls.
I'll give it another try, didnt know they changed.[user not found] wrote: ↑Tue Feb 25, 2020 2:18 amYou’re still banned, even after the merger of all the golfmk sites?

LOL… Yeah but it depends on what type of track car you’re looking for. The MDX is handled pretty well, but if you want something truly track focused I would certainly stay away. It’s nice to turn heads in a race Odyssey or MDX though! We’ve got a Race Spec Type R now, thing is a blast to drive.troyguitar wrote: ↑Tue Feb 25, 2020 1:22 pm Granules still claiming that the MDX is a good track car?
It’s cost a lot… And I mean a lot of money to get that MDX where it needs to be just to compete.
