I also have paranoia that the shop will give zero fucks about getting the last bubble out in an effort to save brake fluid. Life would be a lot easier if I was someone else.

Called dealer … 1min hold … then a person asking me if I want the A or B services. My answer of neither didn’t fare well. Ended up in a random voicemail. :wtf:

If you can come up with a definitive list for the Alphabetic services for this particular model, I would be all ears. My searches always end up in fireball of forumbro speculation.

Yeah that's a lot, particularly for the second item. You are Mr. 30 something old DIY king. Get a QJ and a power bleeder. Fun fact the oil capacity is 8.5 quarts and the OCI is 13K miles. I always have to change annually never made it even to 5K miles in a year.

Leads me to believe that the cabin filter is $80, leaving about $120 for a brake fluid flush.

My local VW dealer started doing these S-A and S-B things right before I stopped going there.

https://www.autohausaz.com/pn/2118300018. 15 dolla. Cabin filter changes in 2minutes. Oil change is 8.5 quarts of Mobil 1 @ WallyW=$50. + https://www.autohausaz.com/pn/HU7185X $10 oil filter
Brake Fluid is $35 of ATE Dot 4. So $110 in parts.

Getting it done at a mb Indy for $300 next week.

So I think you missed my question around whether or not it requires a special tool for the bleed (software tool)

I have the Quick Jack and Motive bleeder, so that is also easy for me, but without the QJ, Eff that.
I looked online and it seems like it requires a specific software tool on the Benz. Did you do it without that?
I bled without software.

That's why I use Liqui Moly for the S4 even thought there's probably "better" oils. 5w40?

I’ve never encountered an OEM shock as good as a Bilstein. I know you’re an OEM man and get it but shocks are definitely something where they’re built to a price and better than factory exists.

Personally I’d leave it as-is though, that’s $1k you’re never getting back and will this thing see the light of 2023 under your ownership? :plac:

Congrats on the car, looks to be in unbelievable shape, solid pickup for the job at hand.
:dat: At least in monotubes....I get that the systems in Raptors and TRX's etc. are :dedong:
Probably :notwrong: but on normal pedestrian vehicles, OEM shocks are rarely anything special. The Corvette C6Z06 shocks to DRM Bilsteins was a :mindblown: difference, just so much better in every way and they were still really pretty inexpensive. And that is a Corvette Z06 which has a lot of effort put into suspension tuning out of the factory.

For sure. Bilsteins crushed the Sachs on the Turbo Yaris as well. I have new B8s and strut mounts on my workbench awaiting the next tire change on the 440i. I ordered them early because sometimes..........you just can't get them. If was a 3 month wait for these.

Fixed a fuse today. For some reason the 12V was blown, so my new usbc charger wasn’t working … yea it’s wired :doomed: pos 🥴

This car has 3 motherfucking fuse panels … one in trunk one next to driver side dash, and inside the hood.

Didn’t have spares either but $4.99 got it working.

Got my keys all working and in great shape. Car is getting really close to 💯

B4 is cushier, "stock" replacement. I have those. B6 and B8 and yellow, identical except B8 is shorter for lowered cars/sport suspensions. Firm but good firm

The only complaint I have about the ride quality on the Benzo is bigger expansion joints or pot holes. It hurts going over those. Everything else is buttery smooth

AMD is bae. I don’t mind his Iraqi Christian self one bit. Dude seems super genuine and he is pushing 5k oil changes that is making forum bros lose their mind
