I'm surprised how "cheap" it is. Considering just a good wheel and pedals alone cost 500+Big Brain Bradley wrote: ↑Mon Mar 26, 2018 9:50 amgenerally pretty roubust things, and if and when it does break its an easy part swap out. No bleeding of hydraloics nessassary.

Assuming my pc and monitor will work. I just need a real pedal setup.KYGTIGuy wrote: ↑Mon Mar 26, 2018 9:58 amI'm surprised how "cheap" it is. Considering just a good wheel and pedals alone cost 500+Big Brain Bradley wrote: ↑Mon Mar 26, 2018 9:50 am

Still looking at over 2k. Which is more than I’m willing to spend. I’m sure a real wheel setup will be worlds better than the pos Ferrari wheel I have.
I hear you. I haven't pulled the trigger on the t300 yet. Gotta be able to store it and I don't want to pay retailBarnes93cb wrote: ↑Mon Mar 26, 2018 12:12 pmAssuming my pc and monitor will work. I just need a real pedal setup.

I got one for my setup. I am unimpressed.Barnes93cb wrote: ↑Mon Mar 26, 2018 10:28 pmHow not? I would figure you would wany everything as close to real as possible.
Why? Well, IMHO the logitech at least feel 'chinky' .
You cannot really replicate clutch feel (well). The only reference to bite point is the sounds and the slight rise in the screen...its hard to modulate.
In forza I'm faster than the inputs can be processed to the xbone; i think this is because its not a priority for the software maybe? I'm by no means slamming gears, but even then It will be telling me I'm grinding gears when I'm not.
And finally, the biggest reason.... Seamless shift flappy paddle gearboxes are faster and that's what most real performance cars come with these days. Any real pro level racecar in the last 40 years at least uses either a dog box (no clutch needed after starting), a sequential dog box, or a seamless shift (DCT or the like).
Conclusion: the paddles are more realistic for modern stuff.

Oh missed that.
All the kits I'm seeing come with the 3rd pedal

I've only had two wheels, the xbox360 and the Logitech g290.
Fanatec is the apparently the hotness but will cost you some coin. IMHO the G290 is a bargain priced very high quality entry level wheel and pedal setup. They were 200 on amazon recently.

That's what I'll do. 50/50 chance it gets used for a few months and gets stored.Big Brain Bradley wrote: ↑Tue Mar 27, 2018 9:48 amI've only had two wheels, the xbox360 and the Logitech g290.

If I end up living sim racing, I'll move up.
265 currently. I'll wait it out for a week or two.

Our Baton Rouge autocross group has a facebook group that races together and does a full out group race every Monday.
Seems fun. I'm tempted to get a PS4 to do it, but right now I'm waiting for the Warcraft expansion so I'm trying not to spread myself too thin across multiple games.

Once I get to texas im planning to get a new wheel for my PC.
Whats the best budget one on the market now. I had a recommendation for the T300 RS
https://smile.amazon.com/Thrustmaster-T ... wheel&th=1
But I think the savings of the G920 may be worth it.
