The CT5 got a wider screen for 2025 as part of the update. The CT4 remains the same. It's a poor seller and will probably be killed off, sadly.
Way too much screen, but at least the ct5 has some physical hvac controls.
Too much screen you say? The IQ escalade is amazing in person... but this is actually too much

Very. Super intuitive and you can drag the most used things to your liking and order. There are also short cuts for commonly used stuff like garage opener

I don't really understand the whole "screen is too big argument." Once you have made the jump to a digital screen, I don't care how big it is. I think the Ipad look is cheapo, but once we've gone digital, let it rip.

I actually think it’s too small in the VISTIQ because it tapers down towards the edges.
Gm is prob doing what bmw did same screen across all cars … and in a 2 series it’s big but in a 7 it’s small … kind of like here

It's all in how well its integrated. A flat gloss black thing with a few small screens looks cheap as fuck. One continuous screen with varying information/infotainment.
The new Lincoln Nautilus Blackwood does the panoramic screen really well.

I think 20 hours is fine for a 200 kWh battery. You're not doing 400 mile trips every day and require an entire recharge overnight. That would be a wild use case.
I was curious so I asked CoPilot about the breakdown. 50-60% of homes have 200 amp main panels. Only 20-30% are on 100 amp panels. You can get the Ford charger for $600-$700 on eBay. It's not nearly as expensive to get a 20 kW setup as you think.
I was just quoting hypotheticals because it’s a fair comparison vs doing random math on what it takes to charge 30% due to all the other variables.
My buddy is averaging 1.3 miles per kWh in his Hummer, I did 1.9 on the Silverado. That’s roughly 13 and 19miles per hour charged… unless you go big. They are too inefficient to have a sub 10kwh charger. Again my opinion. I know someone people that permanently trickle charge out of a regular outlet and claim it’s “fine”.
My commute is 110 miles … in a Chevy I’d need 55kw… so yes it would happen overnight but I now have two evs… no way around either a second charger or permanent charging or both.
But my point was mainly around the big batteries an inefficient evs. They are better served by a separate 100 amp circuit and yes they are becoming more common now that the cars are.
This sounds like a California problem. Multiple EVs + small, expensive, old houses = tough to have a behemoth.
1.3 mi/kWh is so bad. I get right at 2.1 mi/kWh with almost all highway driving in the not a All of these giant things are not great for road tripping. Even if they charge fast, they're just so inefficient and the battery is so big, it takes a long time to top off.
Road tripping a Lucid Air Pure sounds like a cheat code. EPA is 5 mi/kWh. That's even way better than what I was getting in the Bolt EUV

I don’t believe for a second that the lucid gets 5 miles per kw. The best I ever got was 4 in the bmw i3 on bicycle tires.
Evs are super consistent. My buddy also gets 2 in his lemonlighting.
So it’s basically
1 and change for Hummer
2 for a full size truck
3 for a cross over
High 3s for sedans
4 + specialty derived efficiency mobiles
So overall you just multiple that number by 10 and kind of lines up perfectly with MPGs… lol low teens for the Hummer

As far as the general Cali hate lol. My buddy’s parents have a 400 amp panel and 3 ev chargers nothing money can’t fix.
That said the real Cali issue is costs. We’re at 35 cents per kw. To charge at home or 65 to charge in public … unless you have solar you’re fucked. And they are desperately trying to fuck people out of solar savings now
Yeah, the CT4 lights up when I have the key and I'm in the garage. Usually I just grabbed it to get something in the garage and then she's looking at me, wanting a drive.

Sorry but that's fucking horrific.
Shut up old man. Get in your Dusenberg and enjoy your analog trip to the Hamptons where you can commiserate with Gatsby about how change sucks balls.

The ford screens look like absolute ass and have so much wasted space. Like who needs 20” of weather on the dash

I saw ford demonstrate how to use the screens and it was sad. You have to use the small center screen and choose 1 of 4 things and put them into the giant 70" wrap around screen and your options are like...
Weather 10"
Clock 20"
speedometer 20"
map 20"
so that's it... its nothing but wasted space... and the UI is horrendous.

Link please, I need some brainrot entertainment other than social media.
I really dig the redesigned palisade across the board. Killer looks. Hybrids on offer. Hyundai is pretty great at their UI and you generally get a lot of features in the car for the price.
