If only SOMEONE HAD suggested that the day his crangshaft went kablooy!Detroit wrote: ↑Fri May 25, 2018 1:55 pmLegit, Mazda seems like the right answer. A base Jetta isn't a bad budget car, doe.
But yeah, I'd recommend a Japanese appliance.
He could buy from [user not found] like did,Detroit wrote: ↑Fri May 25, 2018 2:02 pmBecause he'll t00n it or something stupid and end up right back where he started. Also, the closest to him is pretty terrible from the sounds of things.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Fri May 25, 2018 2:00 pm
Yeah I don't know why we are ruling out VW at this point the guy loved his car and the new warranty makes the LTR issue moot. Bi-Xenon4lyfe. If he's still scraping by in Hoboken in 6 years, that's on him.
But who should he go to? I wish SOMEONE would tell him![user not found] wrote: ↑Fri May 25, 2018 2:25 pm Hey Crang. Welcome back man. Go to Zil. He will get you in something reliable, inexpensive, and you know he's honest.
It's deserved.[user not found] wrote: ↑Fri May 25, 2018 4:46 pm I'm banning everyone in here for failing to provide adequate advice.

so you're saying this probably caused that? leaks from multiple areas?Johnny_P wrote: ↑Fri May 25, 2018 2:57 pm It's been time to ditch the car for a while. Ultimately the RMS/PCV/ VC gasket did my car in too. Horrible design.
FWIW, they had to remove the PCV valve to do the camshaft work. And reinstall it. But you can't really inspect it, so if they didn't tell you to replace that, they're really just out to fuck you over because these things lead to massive repair bills when they fail.
Fuck that car.
If you want a VW, the new ones come with a long warranty.
If you can't afford a new VW, don't look at VWs.
I'd suggest a jap car of sorts.
Hyundai's long ass powertrain warranty isn't transferable as far as I know.
Let the search for HIDz commence.
Now that he knows it was a possibility that he was treated like a talking wallet, he should sue.

True. At the advertised price it’s high. But with some work on your end I’m sure it could be a better deal.[user not found] wrote: ↑Fri May 25, 2018 1:40 pmBarnes93cb wrote: ↑Fri May 25, 2018 1:34 pm
It is. And a pretty low mile car too. But Id just get on a forum and buy one used for a few grand less. Might have more miles though.
If anyone wants it, just message me. I have the ability to dill, just don't be a
It gives no warnings and there is no way to check it. But shitty of them to not suggest a new one with so much work being done.
