Man, I LOVED my e30 318is. I don't want to see what this goes for, mine was nicer with lower miles. I immensely regret selling that car.Davestr wrote:Not a bad Go-Box to tinker with!! -- http://bringatrailer.com/listing/1991-bmw-318-2/

So I'd probably prefer a 6 cyl E30, but damn that's a nice car. It's been well kept. Would make a great DD.Davestr wrote:Not a bad Go-Box to tinker with!! -- http://bringatrailer.com/listing/1991-bmw-318-2/

I'd love something like this in the city. Lots of E30s around Philly. They're small easy to park and fun. And reliable even though they are old cars.
Crash safety and lack of air bag would make me a bit concerned TBH.

The thing defined slow car fast. It was the lightest e30 procured, and the M42 was a rev-happy DOHC that powered various things into the 2000's. It was a surprisingly awesome little package, and VERY robust. That 0-60 number is probably accurate, but 0-40 was way more fun. It was a ball in auto-x or canyon/backroad bombing because it was so easy to throw around. Truly 5/7, should not have sold.Johnny_P wrote:So I'd probably prefer a 6 cyl E30, but damn that's a nice car. It's been well kept. 90 and 91s got airbags IIRC (I know my 91 had one).Johnny_P wrote:I'd love something like this in the city. Lots of E30s around Philly. They're small easy to park and fun. And reliable even though they are old cars.

I'd be more concerned about rust than anything else.

Huh. I thought supermoto had sweet jumps and stuff. I hate jumps and bumps, otherwise dirt bikes would be cool.

supermoto is more of a class of bike, a dirt bike converted to street use. All the supermoto track stuff I've seen has been strictly on road, but maybe it exists.troyguitar wrote:Huh. I thought supermoto had sweet jumps and stuff. I hate jumps and bumps, otherwise dirt bikes would be cool.
Are you maybe thinking of supercross?
