But then I remind myself that I'm 37 yrs old and driving a boring shitty beater really isn't what I wanna be doing daily. I hope to beat the shit out of the GoRf for about ten yrs and off load it to some :millenial: for 8-10k. At that point I'll be 45 to 47 and may feel differently about cars.
Yep... seems like a good plan... but 10 years doe... that's a long time.
The smart play (pronounced :plac: ) is to sell it at a higher value at the end of it's extended warranty. I'm still on the fence about it, will depend on how much the car is worth and what I'll be able to pick up for that price at the time. I'm hoping that it's reliable and fun enough to keep doe.

I would say that, in terms of the pay i get, better vacation privileges than most jobs, option to work at home if i do go away for vacay. I feel like part a family there too. So I don't always dread myself going there.

But it does suck i drive 35-40 mi round trip, and deal with entitled customers who always tried to give me a living hell, and complicated requests.

But that's life for you.

It's probably better for the clear coat to not wash it often unless done with the utmost care (ie debris free wash mit and fresh new microfiber towels)

I'm waffling. Wondering how much money I'd end up throwing at it. I'd like a bike rack. I'd also like a tune to ease out the throttle but I'd probably do a downpipe if I did that and go stage 2. Would give an added 50-60 WHP and 100 Lb-ft. Just not sure. I'd really just want it for the throttle smoothing.

The car doesn't really need anything at all.

This car is actually pretty decent to drive in the city aside from the jerky suspension/throttle interaction. No heat soak at low RPM and smooth predictible power delivery once you're under way. It's better than the GTI was for sure.
