my in-laws had one at their old place. Run it till the fire is raging. Kill it till the last few minutes to burn everything up.

I dont see why not, just make sure you leave space around the burner so you get a good complete burn on the gas before it hits the wood

a x1.25 scale worked perfectly for the "m3" z4 analong....

the "z3" aka RDX analong was more like 1.15, i iterated down on "close enough"

yea, i have the website for the plans in my head, 12 gauge garage. he built a lot of these and has a excellent blog post with description on how to do it
