:impressive: I've seen the % kits for AR lowers, I didn't know they did that for handguns as well. :notbad:

Yeah, I've done 3 of the p228's already, this will be the 4th. Thinking I will do a 1911 or two next since I already have the tools and jigs to cut the rails and deck the frames.

Awesome, I'd love to try out a Sig sometime. I've only shot Glocks and some S&W revolvers.

Nice, I want one bad, but this state sucks, so I need a cop friend to buy it, then decide it's not his style and sell it to me.

I would mostly be priming and base coating with it, my brush on primer covers pretty awful with a brush and I'm too impatient to use multiple thin coats.
Will definitely work.

You may need to thin your primer and base, and then just adjust the nozzle on the airbrush to how fine of a mist you want.

Last night I coated one of my guns and it turned out perfect with the small compressor. I'm so pissed that I messed it up and have to redo it today. :(

The stuff I'm using needs to go onto a heated surface, so I have to use my heat gun to keep the surface between 120 and 200F. This stops any possibility of runs as the finish flashes onto the part. No problem, even outside in the the low 50's. Then you have to bake it for 1 hour at 300F.. no problem.

It's been a long time since I refinished a gun I forgot about the tolerances and build-up from the finish, even super thin from the airbrush, so when I put it back together everything was too tight.

Today I need to re-blast the part, file the rails to be a bit looser when unfinished and run the reamer through the holes again, then apply the finish again.
what are you redoing? i took my can apart to put baffles in ultrasonic cleaner.

Jesus. That's nuts.

I love my compact M&P. On my hip every day even though my boss makes fun of me because he's a Glock guy.
Yes, the roster of "safe" handguns is a fucking joke and is just an avenue to an eventual outright ban. Color change? That's a "new" model and has to be tested and renewed. Doesn't have these safety features? Can't be added to the list, ever.

I don't really see this as an automotive product, I mean who wants the buttons on a bumper like they show? Hell, people complain about the backup sensors in the bumpers.... But, I already thought of about 4 applications outside of automotive these may work for and I'm going to bookmark this for any other project/hobby I work on where this will make sense.

Thanks!

Just bought two magnetic phone mounts for the car (left mine in a rental :disappoint: ), it was only $2 more for the second one, I'll give it to Allison or carry it in my backpack for rental cars and such.

I also bought some guitar strings for my acoustic.

Most excitingly, I bought a trailer hitch for the :poorvette: so I can get a bike rack.

All of those things for $130 shipped to me :notbad:

Committed to changing my own motorcycle tars this year. I enjoy working with my :dillerman: but I'm tired of the :waxer: tire installation fees, and most other dillers can't balance the rear #singlesidedswingarmproblems

Tar change is pretty easy, good call.

I didn't even balance the ninja tires - can't feel any high speed vibrations so NFG. Big difference between 90 and 150 mph :doe:

If I had a bike that went :plaid: I would balance for sure.

I've done tires before, I'm just lazy. I'd rather have a dedicated tire changer like a no-mar, but I'll rock these for the space savings and portability.

It's really so Zilch can run really sticky tarz on the dragon and change them out mid-week and keep running.

FWIW I just used these spoons and then a harbor freight aluminum jack handle as my bead breaker... :scrooge:

Hell you could make a balancer pretty easily with a few bucks in hardware.

Yeah I would've done a hazard freight balancer if it weren't for the SSSA. The rear balances like a car tar - no bearings for the cones. I could've done over-sized cones, but this guy's cones are machine specific and portable.

Street tars are adequate for the dragon. Ain't nobody got time for tire warmers at the overlook.

I have considered alternative tires for the FiST :doe:
