The south and the midwest actually have AVAILABLE LAND, so people go in an build these spacious, clean, gas station chains that have..........drumroll...........cheap gas. Max is pulling into a corner gas station in the pay area owned by Ali who is charging $6.75 for premium, clutching his Desert Eagle and fending off fentanyl using bums.

No reason not to have the greatest collection of 2.7 TT cars in the world.
People are now swapping out the 4.2 V8 from newer Audis and putting the 2.7 in.

That's the ugly, auto only C8 effect.
That's a nice car. Another thing the C7 has going for it that the ugly C8 does not is an incredibly useful hatch. I took my C6 to Costco on many occasions and loaded er up.
My dad is starting to shop C7s. He wants a vert, post '16 manual Z51. These basically don't exist unless you go Grand Sport, but then you're adding another $10k. The options are surprising slim even for $60k. I told him to wait until fall and see if used inventory grows.

Boomers gonna boomer. Ain't nobody offloading their birds of prey when S&P 500 index fund purchased for $50 in 1980 is worth 5millie today. So pay up sucker.

Max, youre an educated european man. Not some crazy lady that rocks expired temp tags like some equinox drivers are. Only use those when you have as a cheap rental from budget or hertz just to get your ass around somewhere.

Get the gti and proudly drive a car thats get mistaken as a yaris from people that doesn't even have a passport.

Technically the equinox is only related to gas version in name only. They share nothing... but the god awful name. NO idea why GM did that dis-service to themselves.

It’s kinda crazy to me that these now sell for what they did back when they were new (they routinely had 10-20k on the hood for the C7). And they are basically 10’years old… yet all other corvettes were like 1/2 off by year 3 like my 2002 c5 I got in 2005 for $25k with 19k miles
That's the ugly, auto only C8 effect.
:dat: and inflation. $40k in 2025 is really different than $40k in 2015. It went from a new corvette to a new Corolla and a pack of gum.

Just like in 2007, a five year old one os’s half of a new one, the goal posts just got moved a lot.

Regardless, driving an ‘Equinox’ is fucking embarrassing any way you slice it. I’d sooner roll into work on a Byrd scooter.

The thing is Id agree on 40, but that car will go for at least 60, and even adjusted for inflation that’s still too much.

I don’t value C7s, as such. They should be 30-50k cars and they are 60-100k

I think they have been too expensive... if it was priced like the C5 was when we all bought them 7-12 years ago... I'd rock one at 30-40k but not a beat to shit 100k mile one... a nice 15-30k mile one. That's when C5s were priced at 15-25k

They knew who Elon was when they bought them (unless we’re talking like 6+ year old Tessies) and are hypocrites if they pretend to care now :iono:

I get so triggered with those stupid “ I bought this before Elon was crazy” stickers on like a 2022 model. You did not, don’t lie to yourself and the world. They just previously ignored politics and integrity to buy what was probably the most sensible EV available… Nothing wrong with that but the lying annoys me. Maybe they’re not so different from Elon given that’s his main thing.

It is truly ridiculous. I want to buy a Bronco Raptor because it's cool, not because I want to give Jim Farley a reach around.
