Prices went up on everything this year. It's nuts.
Inflation is zero, gas is free, everyone has great jobs, the recession is long gone!
I have made more money under trump than I ever have under Obama.

:thankstrump:

but it'll end soon enough.

The biggest thing around me is housing costs. Rents have skyrocketed lately.
Other things are going up too though. A large covfefe is now $3.00 when it used to be about $2.25 or $2.50. Food in general took a raise. And beers at the bar, $7 is normal anymore when it used to be $4 or $5.

Your sample size is way too small. Frankly this is still Obama's economy till the end of Q3.

The raised pinky finger hipster beers are $7.
Still good microbrew but not quite curled mustache quality beers are $6.
Poverty Bud Light and Miller, etc are hovering around $4-5.

Yeah it's just as :waxer: as your area brah. Only thing you guys have on us is housing costs.

Yea most ppl are surprisingly in the same boat. Pay is way higher here but offset by housing. I'm just kind of shocked at ppl making 50-80k a year and blowing $7 on beer in other states. When I was at that pay I snuck booze in :lolgasm:

Yeah IDK how some of my friends do it. They're bike shop mechanics and baristas and photographers and shit. They don't make dick for wages but will blow $7 on beers all night. It's :impressive:

I should probably have a glass of whiskey before I go out next time. Would be cheaper.

Can anyone recommend a decent credit card thats got a good apr and possibly offers 0% or super low numbers for transfers? My credit is somewhere in the high 700s. And Im looking to possibly find something better than my Chase slate card since I'm spending larger batches than usual for our wedding that's coming up. Normally I'd charge something and then pay it off in 2-3 payments so I rarely have huge debts looming over me, but I'm going to be spending a little more than normal due to the wedding stuff.

It's a pretty decent gauge! Beer doesn't cost that much here. The Pay Area and East Coast metro areas are fucking ridiculous.

Pay area is actually cheap as fuck once you adjust for wages.

I was shocked with Portland and Seattle who are as HIGH or HIGHER than SF, while incomes are lower.
JEW York, in particular, was bad... even 4 years ago I :member: they had double digit beer. They must have crossed the $20 mark for a lot of drinks at this point.

Vegas went off the charts also. Considering that I am an alcoholic I'd go broke there... so it is just to Walgreens and to the streets out there.

I walked into some hipster English gastropub on the strip there and they were selling $14 beers. Fourteen dollars Max. In the middle of the fking desert. I concluded the whole city was catering to people on expense accounts at that point and I may never go back. I never really liked the place anyway, I do enjoy some sports wagering for a weekend. That's it doe.

I haven't played credit card games in a long time but I have been bombarded by 1 year @ 0% by my Bank of America Cards. I have a Discover card as well that does the same thing. I have not used those cards in years doe. And once you come to the end of the road of promotion with Discover they charge you like 19% or some kind of payday loan rate.

I will point out the obvious and state that acquiring credit card debt and getting married are antithetical to financial health.
