Until I measure it all up, I won't know 100% for sure.
I plan on doing this Friday, and scoping out prices then.

I went with valspar in roomie's bedrooms and I wasn't pleased with it. It needed one more than the sherwin Williams so if I had cared more I would have ended up buying a third gallon. I haven't tried behr.Melon wrote:I need some help with paint.
I went by the Sherwin William's store and they're 5-gal of interior satin is ~$150.
I'm wondering about going with Valspar or Behr which seem to be ~ $95-$120 for 5-gal.

Contractor qouted me for $4500 to paint the house.
That includes primer, paint, touch-up, doors and all trim, and installing the trim.
Roughly looking about 6k for the entire thing.
But, that's not terrible, the cabinets are about to arrive.
I've paid for the interior doors and their installation.
I got to get the three exterior doors and pay for their installation, which will be about another grand.

$4,500 to do all that isn't terrible at all. Actually.

Appliances delivered. Turns out the stove gas line doesn't have a shutoff valve. So I need to go buy one, install it, hook everything back up, and re-light the water heater and house heater. Which is NBD except for the problem that our ENTIRE kitchen's contents are in the basement and will need to be moved out of the way.
That will likely be the goal when the lease on this turd is up.Big Brain Bradley wrote:s=go shack up with your woman unit.D Griff wrote:Man, I am ready to get out of this shithole. grabber's nasty Halloween costume is still strewn across the couch.

If all goes well, that'll be a year into the relationship. She owns a nice townhouse, the only sucky thing is it's in the 'burbs, but I'm not home that much, so whatever.Big Brain Bradley wrote:D Griff wrote: That will likely be the goal when the lease on this turd is up.

We almost did the farmhouse ceramic white sink but decided against it because it looked like a toilet.haleyann wrote:Does anyone have a sink in something other than stainless? Like granite or composite stone?
They can look good. The Ikea ones did not, IMO. We went stainless in the end to match all the appliances. But I think a ceramic one could be good.

Loaded up the pantry cabinets today. It's fucking brehs. It was MY IDEA and they went with it and it's double D AZN Max-approved Holds all our foodstuffs plus most of the kitchen electrics, has an under cabinet light, and a power outlet and USB power.
WOOOOO
I'm still super on the remaining tile. I think it looks stupid. But whatever, kitchen is almost back to being useful.
