I still feel like a "plain old" 458 would be better than any of this newer stuff. Hell a 360 would likely be just as fun.

I'm not sure if my lust for this car will ever go away. It was my computer background for several years when I was a kid, and I even made one of those god awful Geocities websites about it in my high school computer class. Nothing will ever compare to the sound of a Ferrari V12 for me. So much sploosh.

Also when I was in high school, I had a pretty big obsession with the Ford GT and I was like, "OMG if they're $140k now, I can probably buy one later in life". And then life said :lolol:

I was kindly reminded that the 997 will have to beat out this for the next spot in our garage:

I love the AMG GT.

I've always wanted one of these, hate away, I've always loved the hot rods.

It's so much damn money though. I mean. A Camaro SS or poverty C7 will perform just as well at less than half the cost.

Same problem that the Jaguar F-Type has. Why get the F-Type when the C7 exists?

Well, yeah.

But there's plenty of badge whores out there willing to spend crazy money on a piece of plastic.

Realisticly (something to consider plac'ing), either a cheaper, used NFG vehicle that's decently fun to drive and poverty features. Looking at 2003-2006 Acura TL, preferably manual, because Honda Auto un-reliability, Jetta 1.8t auto. Or even a 9th gen Civic Si (or 1st gen Acura ILX manual), priced roughly same as used jetta with more fun, power and reliability.

Or something RWD, looking at either Genesis Coupe 3.8, or e46 330i/ci, e90 330i/335i sedan, or perhaps an ecoboost mustang (because I drive a lot), all manual of course and drift hooning. Maybe g37 coupe, but out of my price range.

Real lusts:
Shelby GT350
Mustang 5.0h
e92 M3
c6 vette

I mean I get it from an exclusivity standpoint. The leather dash, the specialness, the "I have it and you don't" aspect. It's just a fuckload of money to spend to get that where there are other cars, especially used, that will cost way less and perform as good or better.

Honestly... not much for me right now. I'm at a great place where I'm pretty NFG but still really enjoy the :poorvette:

I don't even look at CL.

I only look at CL when I'm bored, and I rarely find anything I'm even remotely interested in :plac: my brub tub for.

If I get a poormans douche mobile or something RWD, I bet the only time I'll look at CL is when I seriously consider a c6 as weekender.
On another note, the 5.oh neighbor dumped his stang, and got himself a yamaha bike for warm weather vehicle. Given my experiences with shitty drivers on a daily basis in Nova, it is unlikely that i'll have a bike as warm weather daily.
