Yesterday, President Trump unveiled what might be the most pro-natalist economic policy in U.S. history. The UK Guardian ran the terrific and under-reported story headlined, “Trump announces $1,000 government-funded accounts for American babies.”

Part of Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill,” it would work like this: Every child born between 2025 and 2029 would automatically receive a special tax-deferred investment account primed with $1,000. The accounts, which track the stock market and allow up to $5,000 in additional private contributions per year, are tax-deferred and guardian-controlled — essentially a junior 401(k) for kids, minus the match and with more patriotic branding.

If parents max out the accounts, their kids will have well over six figures for their educations by the time they graduate high school. Even by just adding $100 a month, it could potentially add up to millions if the child leaves the money in until the mandatory 31-year-old withdrawal date.

I have to think about this; I'm not sure its a good policy, bad policy, or neutral policy.

I have to say. When deciding between Trump and Harris, the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files/exposure of deep state coverup did not factor into my decision. "Release of Epstein Files as tenant of MAGA membership?" I thought we were just trying to nix the tranny swimmers...^^^^^^^^

Right, on economic issues alone Harris was at best, a continuation of the lack-luster Biden policies. She had a few good ideas, but it was hard to feel optimistic about the status quo.

Its that we want the truth, sane policies, and transparency in general. Trump admin trying to memory hole promises about Epstein files release strikes a chord within we the people similar to the biden admin trying to memory hole.... i mean covid everything. Or that obvious deep fake of biden when he was prob in some sort of vegetative state.

Would I still vote for trump? Yep, i think its a better outcome. But i'll call balls and strikes, and I want the list and i want those sick fucks in prison.
