Nah this ain’t bad.
I find it to be hideous. But I mean :whocares: , it's a mom wagon.
It's a Temu Range Rover. I thought about these before the :fancy: Rav4 :dill: fell into place.

I guess I'm alone in this... the first of these Santa Fes I saw a year or two ago, I was legit offended. Few cars caused that reaction for me.

If they're used condom prices :doe: , I'd consider for a wife unit.

I don't think it's that bad but, a design like this can be polarizing. I get where you're coming from 100%.

What’s funny is I find most Hyundai/Kia cars here ugly. The two I think look good are the Ioniq 5 and 6, which most people think are heinous looking.

Actually those new Kia sedans (I forget the model) look pretty dope. They’ve had some good stuff. But some pretty uggo stuff too.

The only thing I don’t like about the new Hyundai Santa Claus is the DIABOLICAL repair bills from backing into something while parking. Or if you get BBG’d by a boomer only on your tailgate. The entire gate will need to be replaced.

A Telluride is also not really compatible to a 600 HP BMW rocket ship that can be totaled by getting the windows tinted. Not at all the same thing.
Bold. Yes, exactly. Its why i got one at one point.

Italics, also yes, they are in entirely different price classes as well.

BMW should make a minivan. MAKE SLIDING DOORS GREAT AGAIN
They do, in Europe sans the sliding doors like the R class. No there is no M version as well.

Carry over from the Supra convo from the other chat. I think I’m gonna buy a Supra boys. :plac: I want a manual, in black, honeycomb tan interior.

Not sure when I might do this, but I will probably keep the village bicycle as my NFG dad car for the future and the sups will be the fun weekend car. Or whenever I’m not toting the impending crotch fruit around.

This is all pending because I want to drive one first. I also would be selling my TJ wrangler :(

I was originally gonna sell the Beamer, but after a serious convo with the wife, she hated the idea of a kid riding in my jeep and obviously Supra is a no go.

No timeline right now, but goal is by end of year.

I’m lost… so you’re replacing the jeep with a Supra ? And keeping the bicycle as a family car ?

I approve, the Supra is a great car. I have only driven one with a MT6 and it was fantastic.

I was out on replacing the adaptive suspension. That was the final straw.
Bolded one: Interesting. I see these all over and find the looks........controversial.
Bolded two: When I bought my 2017 440i, I really wanted the blue painted waxables front and rear, but to get them you had to get the adaptable suspension, which was a hard no. How much to replace?
Quoted $6k at bmw dealer, for just the front 2. It went in for its oil change pre-vacation. I paid for the overall inspection. They have had a small leak for 2 years. Its not really bad and the lower tension mounts (also hydro) were leaking.
Each shock is $950.
I added up $2400 in parts to DIY. Would have been $3k+ to have indy shop do it.

Yeah thats an accurate description of it.

We got the FWD grey calligraphy (loaded opt). The blackout and larger wheels do help appearance. We wanted the dark green but it didnt have the mandated options (heated wheel, cooled seats, full 360 cam)

Image

MSRP was 49k. we got it for 45k with the 0%. Option was another $3500 off but rates are at 6%.

The resale is one thing that really turned me off about them. I plugged in the Rav4 equivalent Hyundai in KBB and it was about a $5k difference. As much as I hate Toyota they still hold their value.

I find these interesting. Don’t hate them but I think I’ll tire of the design pretty quickly. They seem pretty nice inside.
I enjoy the interior. Its very nice and comfortable. Its also one of the smallest SUVs with a functional 3rd row (with rear AC) I dont love the huge screen/cluster wrap but everything went that way.

When you add up the features per dollar, its a decent value as an appliance car. The exterior certainly is polarizing. Luckily I cant see it from inside the car.

fit and finish of it all is top notch. I'd put it up there with most euro shit. Less rubbermaid appliance feeling than honda and toyota.

When it came time to do the dill, the wife was deadset on the sante fe after driving the line ups. She actually enjoys its exterior looks and subtle weird details.

I finally got her to admit a GTI or other small car isnt ideal for our current spot in life. I was also tired of the euro tax for a daily.

Genesis was out. they are now up to ~$75k+ for a gv70. Thats also a smaller suv. SHe was dead against any "large suv". (hint: we need a larger car for 2 kids etc)
The tuscon didnt have the rear space and she didnt like the looks.
The 4runner was way to fucking expensive for lacking creature features.
We didnt really look at hondas much. I know yall love them.

If custom spec'ed this toaster I wanted the green with dark brown. 5 mins of searching says it doesnt actually exist in the US.

edit: never mind. its just not out in the package we wanted with options... (calligraphy). That color combo is only in the limited.

Guess we will cry into our nappa leather, dual wireless charges, and heated rear seats.

lease alternative was 64% residual value left at 3 years 30k miles ($31k). those are usually close to market. We have a 5-6 year outlook with this car, so buying was better and nearly the exact same money/payment. Id say Hyundai is on an uptick in customer type and value.
