I have a mean one by the sunroof that I think I’ll try shoving weather stripping between the headliner and roof to silence. And a few in the dash behind some plastic trim panels.
I wonder if its a temperature thing cold brings out the squeeks/rattles ?... I don't really have rattles... even in the POS 15 year old TSX.Johnny_P wrote: ↑Thu Mar 13, 2025 12:11 pm What do you guys use to quell interior panel rattles? Weather stripping? Felt sheets?

Ah, right. I mean, I hope it's as rattle-free as you think it is.
Temperature changes do seem to bring them out. This car rattles quite a bit. My Subaru had some buzzing at the tweeter grilles which was easy to quiet down. The GTI was bananas. I ripped half the interior panels out in the front and lined them with felt tape to quiet it.max225 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 13, 2025 8:14 pmI wonder if its a temperature thing cold brings out the squeeks/rattles ?... about Subaru quality, but the 86 does seem to be pretty well built. Nothing rattles like my

The
was bad if it was very cold.
Speaking of Poorvettes and apropos of nothing... I don't think I've mentioned my next door neighbor's car saga... will report this over in the car chat. Should be some Breh Approved content.
The Mini was definitely worse with rattling this winter than when I bought it late last spring and through the summer. But like Breh, I turn the radio up andmax225 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 13, 2025 8:14 pmI wonder if its a temperature thing cold brings out the squeeks/rattles ?... In summer they're roughly comparable with the Mk7 maybe being slightly less rattle-prone, but in the winter it's night and day different. The Mk7 is almost unchanged from winter to summer.
Pretty incredible.
Yeah it’s a good car overall. The fact that it can do this type of economy but also turn a 6.5 second 0-60 is pretty great. It’s just a rather boring car thats tough to really love.
CX30 is too small for kids. A co workers Gf had a CX3 (granted slightly smaller). And I couldn't even fit in the front. I was touching 5 different plastic panels.. head was touching roof, door card with right elbow, bunched up against armrest, knees were touching dashboard.
Yeah it’s tight. I mean it seems nice enough inside but it’s way too small imo. If I were in college I might not care.max225 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 28, 2025 10:28 amCX30 is too small for kids. More evidence that current seat sizes require a 1970 Seda DeVille.

I got in an uber for the older cx3 one time, i had to drag my legs in the back of the seats that i asked the driver pull forward for me. As ive been in some really small cars overseas. I found cx3 to be one of the worst for its size.
Another exibit why suv's and crossovers gained in popularity while the midsize sedan market has been declining vs econobox sedans are more out there as well.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Fri Mar 28, 2025 2:28 pmMore evidence that current seat sizes require a 1970 Seda DeVille.
I used to see that all the time in Philly. Kids with pacifiers literally hanging out of the back windows as the Altima flies around a stopped city bus on the wrong side of the road.dubshow wrote: ↑Wed Apr 02, 2025 10:42 am the amount of local populous that just throws toddlers (2-4/5) into a car with out any seats blows my mind. It takes me a good 2-3 mins to buckle up both kids. As I watch on to people with 3 kids climbing around the back seat....![]()
