And now i came back from heaven. Its a crime not to have awd nowadays.
IMHO it’s parasitic drag on 99.9% miles driven
Some are not even capable for driving in snow after an extent. Feel like its a marketing thing for :derps: than anything

No awd found on m4 this morning. Made a hateful left out of a crowded parking lot across 5 lanes this morning. Let it eat and went full lock on cold :225: (engine was warm). Glad I had two lanes to myself :lolol:

AWD is cool, not hating.

Again, it seems like a no brainer to throw in some type of smallish hybrid system into the back of a fwd car. It can do ev/hybrid things around town and you can not incur those drivetrain losses on the highway, AND effectively have AWD. Why will no one except volvo do this? It would make an incredible hot hatch.

I've also never owned an AWD car. Unless the :jeep: counts, but that's really the :tits: machine. I would 100% choose 2WD if available on anything we buy next. I mean, the :jeep: on the beach/dunes thing is really fun, but like Max said, we're dragging around hardware that gets used two days/year.

Surprised you haven’t swapped that out for an x3 or something yet….

Were starting to have even shittier drivers who can't even drive on a weather drier than death valley, let alone snow. The cucktrek handled snow well last year though even in hilly areas, accord did struggle on some slight hills spinning my way through.

Speaking of which, my cousin that drives a forester is one of those, and then bitches about spending $800 on their awd service. :tits: lifelong bestie whose a cuban americanized lesbo bought a sahara wrangler and that car did not see gravel or a slight snow, calls it her pavement princess. You already know she has duckies on dash :disgust:

As far as some crossovers are concerned, id like awd for traction purposes as silly as may sound. For instance, when i borrowed my friends 1.5t Tiguan fwd in Turkey, for something that makes as same power as a base jetta, it still spin wheels when I was attemping to pass someone at 15 mph slightly uphill and it was dry and sunny.

Meh, I don’t care enough to make a vehicle swap. I like the Wrangler fine. Pros are it’s reliable, looks cool, convertible, owned outright/very cheap to own. That outweighs the cons which are mostly the steering is shit and poor fuel economy.

I don’t really like driving the jeep but I still like jeeps and think they’re fun enthusiast vehicles. Better than a boring CUV.

Hopefully we get a fuck tom of snow this weekend and you can engage the 4x4. Maxx is coming over Saturday to lift and we’re hoping to rip in some snow in the TJ

I can imagine a Jeep is quite fun in the snow. The STI was a blast in those conditions.

It’s fun to just plow through anything NFG. That said I’ve driven it in snow only three or four times. It never snowed much here but now it’s zero in the new climate world.

No snow today!
Not even icy roads in Charlotte.

This sucks!

I had a 8 am in Matthews and was looking forward to ripping it up.

It’s not even that cold.

Can you plow through everything “nfg” in a car with 4.5” ground clearance ?

Seems like a truk /Gwagen activity

It’s rare it snows more than that in Philly. The STI on snow tires tracked dead straight through anything. It had so much grip it was insane.

I imagine the jeeps would be a riot.

The radio is really driving me a bit nuts. It sounds so bad. I’m really tempted to call crutchfield and order some crap but I’m not interested in spending a weekend ripping the interior apart. I don’t have any free time for that.

Other than that the car is pretty great. It’s super smooth to drive, quick enough for daily stuff, handles well, and even in the winter mpg has been great. 45 mpg average overall so far and it’s the size of a yacht which is awesome. Nothing wrong with it aside from some rattling behind the info screen… it’s a Honda after all. Curiously the CRV has fewer rattles despite 35k miles of pure neglect. CRV is also more comfortable and has a better suspension but that’s to be expected with the Accord riding on 19s and super low to the ground. The Accord is way more stable, quicker, and more responsive.

Also the way the car goes down the road reminds me slightly of the Benz C class I rented in Germany. It’s got that same flowing quality.

Is it an under seat integrated amp one? If so maybe. But again see comment about tearing the interior apart while managing two kids.

I was kind of hoping a small amp with integrated line output conditioner and 4 decent door speakers would do it. I don’t care about thumping bass. The speakers have some weird over boosted signal at some mid bass frequency so they sound boomy.

Drove the CRV through a pretty legit snow storm today with 3-4" on the ground. Road was packed plowed snow, not a spec of tarmac to be seen. The CRV tracked dead straight, grip was not an issue getting started, and the new Pirelli Scorpion tires did a great job not sliding. ABS didn't kick on at all. I was legit impressed because I expected at least some amount of wheel slip and sideways action. Nothing. There was even a wall of snow that a plow made that had to be at least 10" tall - we drove over it totally NFG. Something I could not have done in the Accord.

Cold as shit this morning. Downside of this job is the 5am wake up routine. New floor mats are in and…. They look like floor mats? Good that I got them only halfway through salt season. I don’t think the carpet got too trashed.

I wonder if I could add fog lights behind the grille. The auto high beams work nicely but fog lights would help as some of the roads I take are pretty dark at this hour.
