Just have it refinished and quit running into shit. And tell your wife if she curbs another rim you're going to smack her around. That's what I do.

My wheels are a similar finish and no one but me will ever notice the wheel I curbed after five minutes with a sharpie. I do want to fix it but just haven’t bothered with finding a shop and all that because it’s barely noticeable.
Johnny_P wrote: ↑Thu Nov 21, 2024 12:28 pmSo oddly enough my neighbor has an accord hybrid EXL same year as mine. His has the 17s. He street parks it since they don’t have a driveway. His 17s are absolutely trashed. I think it’s a problem with Honda wheel designs which have wheel poke, and the stock tires have no rim protection bumpers.
So many accords, civics, and Tesla model 3s have trashed wheels from curb rubs.

Trust me i had worse, right there with you too, let alone getting as a "nfg" car and yet cry about shit like this myself. In fact within a month of ownership the potholes did chop tiny pieces too.

Already done that with mine, from 235s to 245s. Makes it easier not to curb when you're parallel parking and you feel the tire first. Also improved ride quality over bumps/imperfections. That said,D Griff wrote: ↑Thu Nov 21, 2024 1:04 pmJohnny_P wrote: ↑Thu Nov 21, 2024 12:28 pm

Kinda struggling on what to get next. Would like a large sidewall, but I’m afraid to go too big and drag. I hit a deep manhole cover while shifting the other day, it threw my foot off the clutch. Charlotte road man, gotta have a 4x to get across townD Griff wrote: ↑Fri Nov 22, 2024 8:12 amJ-Ho-Fo-Show69 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 22, 2024 7:33 am

It really would be. If you're not doing track days or autox, high grip high performance tires are not really all that. You'd probably need to get some different springs though.
Any family vehicle/CUV/van type thing would be better served with turbros.
