JB4 :tuna: is adding like 120-150hp too I think.
Ah yes, a tuned Stellantis motor. The makings of reliability!

Aren't they on the verge of another bankruptcy too?

It's only bankruptcy if it comes from the Campanian region of Italy, otherwise it's sparkling financial ruin.

Honestly, God gave us the Ford 300, Buick 3.8 and LS.
The Jeep 4.0L is good, but not God tier. High Angel tier.

Yea I always thought the reliability rep of the 4.slow was overblown. Especially considering how many ended up with blown head gaskets and shitty heads

I don't gaf what configuration it is, just give me 400hp to run largeish tires without dogging and make it reliable.

I do. V engines are generally inferior to I engines.

But the 392 is also a great jeep.

No no, I'll let you enjoy roasting all four Jeep tires, and you can let us dream of an inline 6.

My whole point in introducing this conversation was that both can be accomplished with the Hurricane HO.

So I’m embarking on a major road trip. First one since the CF was born. My IX is not big enough since we’re taking 6 people. So I rented an X7 will report back in a week … kind of excited and low key terrified of having the kid in the car for 8 hrs each way

Don’t know yet… depends on size of 3rd row.
I’d rather get a wagonqueer or Tahoe but somehow it’s $300 more for 5 days … which is insane

Yeah that's crazy. Sixt? I've seen grand wagoneers in the hertz PC section and Executive in National, including the LWB but it's a crapshoot vs guaranteed model.

At least the X7 generally has nice HVAC controls and a sunroof back there to help out with comfort.

I drove one around the block at my hotel a year ago (sixt rental), it was a slow night, it was :nice: and smooth. I also recently rented (or should I say upgraded to an X5) in Miami a month ago for a couple night for :tits: family banquet event of her aunt. From my recollection, they feel similar. Both are 40i x drive.

FWIW when my uncles kid was 7 weeks old, we went on a 5 hour roadtrip from Istanbul to Izmir, he had his Macan S performance plus (drove slow too) and I drove my granpa's 20 year old (now) megane diesel. For a baby who seemed to be a very light sleeper, it was fairly successful.

Yeah I went to Cape May this weekend with my college buddies. I rented a regular National rental and grabbed a Pacificunt so we could all cruise in one vehicle (PHL airport, which is about 1:45 from Cape May). I got a Grand Wagoqueer once with my boss, who was super into it, but they didn't have anything like that this time. I'd say it's safe to assume a seven seater will be available but you never know what it'll be.

The Pacificunt is pretty dece though, I like driving it a lot more than I did the Wagoqueer, it's just easier to park/deal with.

we did TN in the wagoon (10+ hours) with a 1 yo. Its doable, he slept most of the way.

the two beach trips was 4 hours in truk (2.5/ 8mo). We had a few stops but managed with minimal crying. Zero digital pacifiers thus far.

Truk with a solid bed cover is super easy to load and pile shit up for road trips. Back seat is massive and wife can crawl back between kids. Its overall the most functional road tripping vehicle, other than 17 mpgz.

this is massively shitty. Essentially every 3.5 from 2016 to 2020 has a fatal unfixable flaw :(
