So I've had four interviews with Netgear now:
-Recruiter initial call
-Hiring manager
-Other key Director guy for their AV division
-Just met with their global head of sales
The first three calls seemed like an offer was imminent, very much AV industry guys who liked me, got my experience, think I have everything they need (pretty unique experience that aligns super specifically). This last guy asked much more boiler plate type sales interview questions. I am not sure I was salesy enough for him, but I guess we shall see soon.
I think I'll probably if I get the offer, it's like 30% more money at least, a growing division of the company, the boss bro seems cool, very well regarded in the industry.

Nah, they're based in San Jose, CA. I think that's the only office. The boss bro is remote in Madison, WI. I'd be fully remote/in-field. They are giving me an offer, possibly today.

I haven't been to the Bay Area since 2018 but I do remember San Jose being one of the worse cities in the area. It sounds like it would be a once/year trip, so NBD. It would be nice to get to go to CA again honestly, maybe extend those for a weekend.
Have you known anyone who worked there? The Glassdoor reviews aren't very favorable. They have a new CEO and are supposedly turning things around. This is sort of a sside biz for them, they are obviously pretty big in consumer-grade Best Buy/Amazon type stuff, this division is all B2B and focused on broadcasters and AV integrators. It is the best/highest regarded product in this niche, but at the same time, if the company is a sinking ship or shit show... that still bleeds into successful divisions.

Yeah I don’t know either. Because she was pretty moderate / centrist overall.
I think it’s a reflection of how poorly people think of Biden across the board and how she was shoved down our throats. Hard to get out and vote for a candidate that you didn’t have a say in the selection of.

In which every minute that ticks by she fails to concede becomes a more real thread giving that it is her DUTY to certify this election on Jan 6 2025.

Fun fact San Jose is the biggest city in the bay. It's 30% bigger than SF by population. But its closer to "Houston" as a city than SF which is a gem IMO. SJ is HUGE... for ex my office is in "north" san jose but going to S San Jose can take 45 min... 1 hr in traffic... and you're in 1 city... It's very suburban office drone farmy. But there are still some things to do here and there. Anytime you're around, I am down to get some beers so hit me up once the offer is sealed.
As far as companies it is SUPER hard to generalize. Your life within the corp is really silo'd so as long as the boss is good and you like what you do the rest doesn't matter, so I wouldn't sweat it. Reviews on most sites are very narrow and apply to individuals much less larger groups.
