Fence started going up this week. All posts are in and cross beams are up. Slats are starting to go in this morning. Will be nice to have that done. Then we’ll start chipping away at actual landscaping with sod, trees, and whatnot.
Might try to sell Michelle on the idea of doing one area as turf instead of sod.. see if we can train the pup to use that as her bathroom so she isn’t killing grass. Plus it’d be one less area to water and maintain.
But then your turf smells like shit and piss. 0/10 do not recommend.
I figured we could just hose it off once a week or so and it’d be good to go? Turf for dog owners seems common, so I figured the shit/piss smell was easily mitigated.
Thanks dudes. Now it’s time to start tackling the actual landscaping and make the yard look nice. No sense in doing much now with the cold/rainy season setting in, but that gives some time for our bank account to recover from the fence install and then we can start some projects in the spring. We’re torn between hitting her front yard first to help spruce up the neighborhood’s look, or starting in the backyard for our personal enjoyment. Leaning towards backyard as even in its current state our front yard is still nicer looking than several of our neighbors.

It rains where he lives though. Turf sounds pretty cool to me. I do not enjoy anything about grass ownershit.
I've really enjoyed planting trees and things like that that are pretty gratifying. Grass just doesn't grow naturally in this region. You have to water constantly, seed every year, and regardless of variant, it's still going to be brown a lot of the time. I told I'm kind of done with it, if a bunch of clover and stuff comes in, fuck it.

Yes it's a cool car. But prepare the lube/sawdust.
Can confirm; it is currently raining. Sprinkler system has been turned off since early October. Will probably turn it back on in the middle or end of May.
