Issimi (the stealershit) trying to sell is notorious for literally taking market value and trippling it and try and "move it" it seems like its something being used to launder money because no sane human would purchase from them.
I really HATE how difficult it has gotten to buy an enthusiast car lately because so MANY entities popped up lately that are all trying to insert themselves into the purchase process and drive the prices up.

You have to waste so much time trying to try and find something good, And 1/2 the places with decent cars charge you an extra 5-10% for the "privilege" of using their "service" which is frankly just BULLSHIT and boils my blood.

I always wanted one. I think they’re one of the best looking cars ever made. This one is damn near perfect.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Tue Oct 22, 2024 2:39 pmI will be interesting to see what Johnny's yellow one goes for. $92K moves me into a different car but I can't say I don't love these things up to $45K.

Most have been run into the ground by the first 2 owners and 150k miles … then dug up by Jose and Guadalupe and made to suffer for another 200-300k miles. Preserved examples are rarer than lambos.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2024 11:18 amI think its hilarious that 100K mile+ GMT800s are BAT worthy.D Griff wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2024 8:52 am Desert spec: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2001- ... burban-33/
Also fun fact back 01 when this was made this would have been the equivalent of a 1977 suv …. We’re getting old fast
Yes, these were the pinnacle of rich suburban mom machines in my high school years. It looks like this one may go for a decent price, honestly, sub $10K it's a pretty solid vehicle IMO. Bulletproof drivetrain, parts available galore. I haven't been in one in years, but I feel like in good condition, it's still a reasonable place to spend a road trip assuming the suspension isn't from 2001.max225 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2024 11:29 amMost have been run into the ground by the first 2 owners and 150k miles … then dug up by Jose and Guadalupe and made to suffer for another 200-300k miles. I think while they are "reliable" they are also old... so they tend to pop those 4 speed transmissions and various other components that could leave you stranded on said road trip. That part makes this proposition a bit difficult to swallow unless you do a lot of preventative maintenance. Which no one ever did on these.

I think about replacing my Quinceanera party bus . The only thing I would really like to do is do all new suspension bushings. Pulled the oil pan a couple of weeks ago for a new gasket. Actually cleaned it out to spotless. There wasn't much goo in there anyway. New set of coilpacks a couple of months ago as preventative, the transmission has been changed out thrice in 172K miles. Gets about 2500 miles a year on it in MX.
