Issimi (the stealershit) trying to sell is notorious for literally taking market value and trippling it and try and "move it" it seems like its something being used to launder money because no sane human would purchase from them.

I really HATE how difficult it has gotten to buy an enthusiast car lately because so MANY entities popped up lately that are all trying to insert themselves into the purchase process and drive the prices up.

It used to be
Classic Car dealers

Now:
Online ads on Autotrader
Facebook marketplace
Craigslist

tons of forums all specific to a particular vehicle

You have to waste so much time trying to try and find something good, And 1/2 the places with decent cars charge you an extra 5-10% for the "privilege" of using their "service" which is frankly just BULLSHIT and boils my blood.

I will be interesting to see what Johnny's yellow one goes for. $92K moves me into a different car but I can't say I don't love these things up to $45K.
I always wanted one. I think they’re one of the best looking cars ever made. This one is damn near perfect.

I get it. The 90's ricer kings were this, the FD RX7, and the A80 Supra.

Most have been run into the ground by the first 2 owners and 150k miles … then dug up by Jose and Guadalupe and made to suffer for another 200-300k miles. Preserved examples are rarer than lambos.

Also fun fact back 01 when this was made this would have been the equivalent of a 1977 suv …. We’re getting old fast

Yes, these were the pinnacle of rich suburban mom machines in my high school years. It looks like this one may go for a decent price, honestly, sub $10K it's a pretty solid vehicle IMO. Bulletproof drivetrain, parts available galore. I haven't been in one in years, but I feel like in good condition, it's still a reasonable place to spend a road trip assuming the suspension isn't from 2001.

Hell, one could throw a double din CarPlay receiver in there and it's really missing nothing on a newer SUV other than self driving crap that doesn't work and more electronics to break.

I think while they are "reliable" they are also old... so they tend to pop those 4 speed transmissions and various other components that could leave you stranded on said road trip. That part makes this proposition a bit difficult to swallow unless you do a lot of preventative maintenance. Which no one ever did on these.

I think about replacing my Quinceanera party bus :butwhy:. The only thing I would really like to do is do all new suspension bushings. Pulled the oil pan a couple of weeks ago for a new gasket. Actually cleaned it out to spotless. There wasn't much goo in there anyway. New set of coilpacks a couple of months ago as preventative, the transmission has been changed out thrice in 172K miles. Gets about 2500 miles a year on it in MX.

So y'all like these BAT rockstar cars......I look for things a little under the radar. Autotragic but this thing is super clean and low miles. Curious what the final # is.

So does an oxcart transmission on a BMW make it BAT worthy? Because otherwise a 100K mile 335i is :whocares:
