I mean, I'm with you. We have a dece chunk in savings, probably could like for six months on it, probably a year with that and the wife's income, but obviously I wouldn't do this unless the new job was accepted. I also don't really know how life will be money-wise.
We won't have any childcare costs until March or April, then a few months at $2400/month, then starting in August, $1300/month. Fortunately we'll be paying off the in April and have no other debts besides the $2500/month mortgage.
I have been very aggressively saving for retirement for the past 10 years, so that may just have to get dialed back, unfortunately. Obviously there will be other expenses like diapers, medical bills, food, etc.
life comes at ya fast. I thought you already had 1. Guess I forgot. Medical is roll of dice on luck. Food really isnt impacted, once bottles drop off. Diapers are $50/60 mo. Formula is $40-80/mo if you dont need special shit or use it. adding kids to my health ins was about $600/mo iirc on current plan.
Daycare is the biggest nut kicker. at $2k for 2 ea mo. I haven't saved anything for retirement for the last 3 years... i did it by the book for the previous 10 tho. Maybe I win the lotto or cash in my life insurance?
Well, we had two pregnancies that didn't work out, so it makes sense you thought that. if we'll go for a second or not. Wife is 37 so we will need to go for it soon should we decide to.
For whatever reason our insurance plan options through work had self + family as a cheaper option than self + one, but you’re allowed to enroll in the self + family even if your family is only one other person. So last November I jumped us to the highest tier of the self + family instead of the mid-tier self + one that we were on. I think my biweekly premium went from $106 to $118 and when the baby came we rolled her into the plan at no additional cost. The care has been solid. Our delivery, including the five nights or however long we stayed at the hospital was $250, we got unlimited lactation consults with just a $10 copay each, and all the care we’ve received has been great. The hospital we birthed at is the top rated L&D here in Oregon (maybe the whole PNW?) as well.

Yep Kaiser is dirt cheap for out of pocket. People are always shocked that the whole baby thing "only" cost us $150. And it was an elective surgery etc.

I hope Cale buys that thing though, keep the legend going. Although he's all on the poverty spec screen situation.
Is he afraid that he may find better infotainment from the rentals by the deals that he has

Nice. Didn’t realize you were rocking the KP too
Yea the communist healthcare is cheap but lacking at points. But still better than most imo
United Healthcare has been great. They paid for the bulk of IVF stuff, never gave us problems. Too bad we're moving beneshits to the company that bought us, looks to be a bit worse, but

Was this an actual BMW ad campaign?
no.
BMW Hellas did indeed create the image. But the company said it never intended the ad to be seen by the masses. It ‘was only a creative idea of our advertising agency participating in a local contest among Greek advertising agencies,’ said Vivi Dalakou, a spokesperson for BMW Greece, in an e-mail. ‘This visual was never supposed to be used as a BMW campaign and never will be.’ (BMW wouldn’t give us permission to use the image in this post.)

we get to pick up the wagoon today. Zero supplementals on a decent front end hit is very very suspicious.... Just a front skin and paint. I hope they got it all aligned decently because i saw about 1/8" shift around some bolts behind grill.
I got the new plate to fix the ebrake lines rubbing drive shaft shield and making noise for the last 4 years. it will be a new bicycle.
